I had lots of problems when I started also. To be honest I just started buying wholesale bulk of the parts. 4 atty, 4 batteries, and I carry a whole bag of parts and tools around with me everywhere I go. Also, play around with your cart mods. I have seen alot less problems with flooding and wasted fluid. Which mod to use is uncertain. The one I use is not getting any backing so just go look at the threads and try one. My batteries last around 4 hours and nothing has ever been burnt so got me.

Definitely keep trying! The People at Cignot are great! try to get in touch with them like Scottbee said, Also what kind of juice are you using? Pg or Vg or mix? You might also wanna check out http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ng-you-ever-wanted-know-about-your-510-a.html if you haven't already.
The thing about ecigs is that they have a certain technique to go along with them. It does take some trial and error but once you get it. It is amazing and you'll be happy you stuck with it! Hang in there! if you need any help or anything feel free to PM me. I also bought my first (technically 2nd i bought a crappy red dragon before it) kit from cig not and i still use it.

Don't give up. If you are hitting the ecig hard, the batteries on the 510 just don't hold up. There were times I was changing out every 30 minutes or so after about a month of use. At the suggestion of a more experienced forum member I broke down and got a couple mods and at then followed another's suggestion and went to cartomizers. No more batteries crapping out and no more flooded atty's.

in the 2 1/2 months I've been vaping I have spent a bit, read alot and done my share of experimenting. Trial and error but you get it right. I think I'll break even in August sometime in July now that I am off the analogs but the return on investment is priceless and now I have some extra parts/back up devices and can lend of my 510's for smoker friends who want to give it a shot.

i am more mad in general. i have been holding this in for awhile, so i kinda just vomited when i made this thread. cignot offered to ship me a new battery the first time i had a problem. but i kinda went nuts and said f it keep it i will buy three more. i am going through a lot of stuff right now and i guess i went into this a blindly without really doing my research.. Took all my anger out on the poor 510, poor ........ i just cant get over how 5 batteries can have the same problem. i had to start smoking again cause i am done with the 510, battery's don't last longer than a couple of mins. i would wake up in the morning and spend a hour trying to get it to work, not a good way to start the day, by the time i get to work, i am spitting flames. i should also note i am a heavy smoker. but on the plus side i cut my cigs usage down 50 to 75% of what i use to smoke. is the screwdriver from totally wicked good?.

After my dreadful 3 wk affair with The Dragon GRRRRRRRRR!!!! I Went to Cignot and got the 510. I got my first set in November 2009. All batteries and attys still work great!!! If I had kept trying to dook it out with MR DRAGON I would be back smoking analogs.

They are great girls to order from and will liston if you have a complaint. Unlike The Dragon Killer, who never returned any of my messages, and left me with 3 unchargable batteries. They are still good. The charger broke, might have something to do with wires being exposed. The threading on the batts and attys were screwed up and not interchangable, nor can I charge the batts I have with any other charger. He is aware of this. I informed him if he would not respond to my emails I was not keeping quiet any longer. Which I did for a very very long time hoping he would make the situation right!!! But I digress. Still ticked I paid so much for something that lasted 3 wks. Contacted them many many times with no feedback. Now thats someone to complain about. Now if that happens with Cignot I'll eat my pantyhose. Get in touch with them. They really care!!!:)

Ummm, did you get the manual or automatic batteries? 'cause if they're the automatic batteries I think I know what your problem is...

"only use 4 drops of juice"? Are you dripping? If you are you don't need 4 drops. I find 2 works just fine with a 510 and 3 at the most. 4 drops WILL flood it.

If you're overfilling your cartridges it will flood the battery.
If the packing in your cartridge is compacted or gummed up then putting 4 drops in there might not get absorbed, sit on top in a puddle and then flood the battery.

Automatic batteries are not sealed at the top where they screw onto the atomizer. They have a hole there that's open to the switch so they can sense the suction. If you flood the atomizer the juice just flows down into the battery and and ruins it. If it doesn't short things out it gums up the switch.

Melting a Joye plastic cartridge is hard to do. It had to get HOT. You can get an atomizer HOT without making much vapor. If it's flooded it will more boil the juice rather than vaporize it. It still gets hot.

While it is possible that you got a bad batch of stuff it's less likely from Cignot. They sell the real Joye products. If you did get a bad batch they will surely make good on it. They've built quite a reputation around here with their customer service.

Wow! You cut that many cigs out and you just started? That's pretty outstanding. And your mad at the 510? Um, remind me to not help you out and make you mad.

Melting carts, batteries going that quick, seems to me you may be smoking the 510 instead of vaping it. There is a learning curve to it. I'll leave it to someone else to point ya' in the right direction.

And the key to walking away from cigs is more juice than hardware. More learning curve stuff.

Hint, relax. You didn't become a heavy smoker in 2 weeks, did ya'? Now you have to relearn something learned to habit over years of time. Eh?

I just ordered my first 510 from Cignot on Friday and got it yesterday. I'm getting 2-3 hours with fairly steady vaping before needing charge. I got the manual battery so maybe there's a bad batch of automatic batteries or something. If so, I'd doubt seriously that Cignot would have known about that and sent them anyways. Especially after all of the superb reviews they've been getting. I'm extremely pleased with Cignot and also with my 510 manual ecig (lots of good vapor!). I also got the PCC and am now charging one of the batteries in it for the first time, but it seems to be working good.

Good luck whichever way you go, but as the others have said, let Cignot know about the problem... I'm sure they would want to know if they had a bad batch not only so they can help you, but also maybe to stop sending them to others while they check with their supplier and test their existing supply of them.

Ok here's the deal...510 batteries crap out because we're overstressing them just by using them..and the heavier we use them the faster they crap out and they start holding less of a charge til dead..
The unfortunate truth is that all stock models are this way for heavy smokers but the 510 is the lowest in resistance thus the hardest on it's stock batteries..something like the eGo or tornado will be a lot better...but a mod even more so..
Remember they were designed to be an occasional substitute for when we couldn't smoke...not to be constantly chain vaped..

thanks for the reply's. the batteries are manual. i was thinking the button may be acting weird. Hey hoosier i don't bite i swear lol. cignot has been wonderful from the beginning, this recent issue i am coming to the conclusion is pretty much user error. i dont drip just fill the cart. i am a heavy smoker, so i think i need something stronger. i am trying to relax, but everything in my life is going wrong.

That's life. Not like the movies at all.

I had to go up to 36mg juice before it started to kill the cravings. Then I had to find a flavor that gave satisfaction. That was a huge issue because I didn't like anything I thought I would and liked things that sounded horrible when I started.

So deal with life. Vape when you can. Smoke when you have to. Then get up and do it again. Shrug, trust me IRL I am much less laid back than I am here because life keeps me aggitated.

well i placed an order for a screwdriver from totally wicked. i am going to try that and brush up on as much info i can get my hands. also try to take a deep breath and relax. all the you tube videos of the screwdriver made it look like that was the model i should have got. but i now know i approached the ecig all wrong. time to adjust the approach and try again. some people learn with a feather, and some need a brick. guess which one i am :D.

I think the batteries have a thermal cutoff, too. so if you vape heavily for 5-10 minutes it'll act like a dead battery. also I've noticed that if you pop a battery into the charger while it's flashing or very shortly after it stops, it won't really charge but the light turns green anyway.

well it goes like this ... a 510 on it's stock battery has an amp draw of 1.35A...
max drain rate of a stock 510 battery is <.18A

So anything over the max drain rate of the battery is going to overstress it...the more you overstress it the quicker you'll kill it...and the more you overstress it the hotter it'll get too..

The batteries in the screwdriver will last you longer than the stock batteries and are more easily replaceable..

I work three at a time, one in my mouth, one in my wall charger and one in my PCC. No one over told me I'd need a suitcase to carry all this stuff??? Order now in bulk from Heaven Gifts or Health Cabin as it will take at least 20 days to get to you from China and definately get you PCC. The financial output in the beginning can be quite alarming but it will eventually equal out.
