The Vamo has built in protection circuitry it won't fire too low of an ohm, it won't exceed the built in amp limit, it has short circuit & over discharge protection it requires an unprotected high drain IMR or Hybrid chemistry battery.
I suggest a 10a CDR battery, 6.8a CDR is the minimum I would use.

AW IMR 2000mah 10a CDR / button top
Panasonic NCR 18650 2900mah 10a CDR / button top PD, flat top PF (Hybrid)

The 3400mah panisonic is 6.8a CDR and is the bare minimum amp rate battery that should be used in the vamo.

Only buy batteries from reputable vendors / dealers.

That Panasonic is a PROTECTED battery. It might work, but from everything I've read, an UN-PROTECTED battery is preferred. If your mod acts weird with it, that would be the prime suspect.

For a Vamo, and with no plans to upgrade to a mechanical mod, a set of efest IMR 18650 2000 mAh batteries would be an economical choice, at least it was for me.
