Vamo battery help

I am getting a vamo but i need help on what battery to get like the SAFEST one.
Im not sub ohm-ing
im going to use a protank or a nautillus
please tell me like a name of the battery (18650)
i also want to have a battery that is long lasting
and will it work with a nitecore charger

What battery you need depends on which version Vamo you're asking about. v1 ~ 8

As long as you buy the battery from a reputable vendor 18650 battery will work, it's not until you get into building coils that the specific battery will matter. If your just vamping off a tank like the Natalius the red efest batteries will be fine.

Sony if you can find them but it's all about the amp output if you are getting into rebuilding, otherwise any battery you buy from a vape shop or online vendor will be fine for your needs. Avoid eBay and other non-business vendors. A battery should cost around $10.

I was told flat because it ensures a strong connection but button tops will work. If your not building coils all batteries will be fine.

efest, sony, Samsung, Panasonic, AW. All will work fine. I currently use a Vamo v5 running an efest 18650/2500mAh/35A flat top as my all day setup. I also use efest 18350/700mAh/10.5A flat top batteries.
I went with the efest because that is what my local B&M had in stock.
I prefer this battery because of the mAh rating.
The higher the mAh rating the longer between charges you can go. I get about 1.5 days out of my 18650. As I post this I am using the 18350. I have been using 2 of them all day and have charged each one once. As of right now I am using the first one that has been recharged today. So that is 3 battery changes in about 14 hours.
If you are getting a V5 or older Vamo you cannot sub ohm. Only the V6 will allow it, but to .8 ohms only.

Look into battery safety and ohm's law and learn it before trying a build. People get hurt because they don't understand the risk involved with trying to make a battery do something it wasn't designed to do.

I have a couple of efest imr batteries that I bought with a vamo v.2. They are still going strong. Blowing your hand off is not an issue with a regulated mod.

The blowing up comes from dangerous super sub ohm builds and cheap batteries that can't handle the needs of sub ohm building. Just get batteries from reputable companies and vendors and get a good charger. This is where you don't want to buy the cheapest but you don't need the really expensive batteries yet. There is a vamo v5 battery thread that is helpful but I can't post links yet.

Either is fine you are already using a regulated mod and it won't let you battery become dangerous. It's not until you go unregulated mech mods and RDA that battery safety becomes really important

Protected batteries will mess with the regulated mod's built in protection.
