Six days is a long time for a Kanger coil to last in my experience. Maybe the coil isn't getting hot enough to keep the wick from getting over-saturated. Clean or replace it if all else fails.
Because the Protank gets it's airflow from the 510 connection, it doesn't always play nice with all devices when you try and flush mount it. You can get an adjustable airflow controller pretty cheaply. I've heard of folks using a circle of credit card plastic or some other thin plastic, cutting out a disc with a hole in the middle for the connection and sandwiching it between the tank and the device. Maybe this will work for you?

come on over. i got a drawer full of protanks and now i just added the Aspire BDC mini to the **** list. they all sitting in there. hoping one day one of these companies makes a head that can actually wick 50/50 juice.
