Six days is a long time for a Kanger coil to last in my experience. Maybe the coil isn't getting hot enough to keep the wick from getting over-saturated. Clean or replace it if all else fails.

I did have an issue with coils but it was do to chain vapping and the coil breaking. I know give it a 10 second or so break between drags and im on day 10 for this coil. I have heard allot about flooding and keeping the tank full. On my tanks i can vape them untill they are empty with no flooding issue. When they do flood its when i blow down into the tank and forcing the liquid into the coil.

Check the air flow holes on your 510 connection. Are they blocked? If so, try and clean them out with a pipe cleaner or a toothpick. If those get blocked, or any part of your air flow system, every time you take a drag you are basically just sucking on a juice straw and you will flood your coil, and it will leak out. Make sure the bottom hole on your atomizer head is not blocked either. This can be cleared with a pipe cleaner as well. Also be sure that the silicone o-ring on the bottom of your atomizer head is still there, and making a good seal with the base of your tank. Screw in your atomizer head until it is snug, without over tightening, because then you can collapse the o-ring and it will leak out the seal. Hope this helps! We'll keep trying to help you troubleshoot.

It is not my intention to hi-jack this thread, it is some what related to flooding anyways. I use PT2 almost exclusively. I have a couple in my case that's filled with different flavors for a quick switch out. I use to get a lot of flooding too and filling the tanks more than 1/3 of the way at least solves this.

But since I store my spare loaded PT2s in my case, I was wondering about how people do it. I use to store it with drip end up and I get the over saturated condition too and sometimes a flood. I tried with the drip tip end down and this solved my problem. Any change in pressure does not supply my wick any extra juice since it is not touching it.

Any body else can verify/use/does the way I do it?

some batteries just dont allow the protank to get good air flow. I was using a halo bat with an 808d to 510 adapter and i had to loosen the pt a bit to get good flow without flooding. On my ego battery that issue was not present. I quickly moved on to a mod and have zero issues at all with the pt. The air draw on a pt comes from the bottom of the atomizer so for reason its getting restricted.

Because the Protank gets it's airflow from the 510 connection, it doesn't always play nice with all devices when you try and flush mount it. You can get an adjustable airflow controller pretty cheaply. I've heard of folks using a circle of credit card plastic or some other thin plastic, cutting out a disc with a hole in the middle for the connection and sandwiching it between the tank and the device. Maybe this will work for you?

I wish I could just sit down next to you and figure this out. I actually really like troubleshooting. :) Let us know if you fix it so we can all learn with you!

come on over. i got a drawer full of protanks and now i just added the Aspire BDC mini to the **** list. they all sitting in there. hoping one day one of these companies makes a head that can actually wick 50/50 juice.

I wish that I could help you! I vape 50/50 too! I think that companies need to make tanks with adjustable airflow. Messing with wicks is the only way that I've seen work-ish to help with their wicking issues. I rebuild my Protanks with cotton and all of my wicking problems went away. Feel free to mail your Protanks to me!

I just went thru this! First time out of the box it was great! After second fill it was horrible. I've tried everything and it still sucks! Provape was so kind to send me another one and right now except for the very airy draw it's working great! I need to mess with the old one to see what I can do to fix it. Removing a flavor wick only made it worse! I did add another rubber cap on top of the existing and it seemed to help!
Now I also bought a protank mini and it is working flawlessly! I covered one of the air holes for a tighter draw. I think from now on I'll only buy the mini. Good luck!

I used to answer these questions. Now so many people post with so many silly suggestions, I just gave up.

Never over tighten any device. It always eventually causes problems.
Never Remove a Wick unless the unit simply will Not wick properly after a Tank or so. Power off Prime instead.
Never dispose of a removed wick. Next fill it may start flooding and you will need to place it back in.
When attempting to clear a Gurgle - Remember there is condensation/e-liquid build up in the tube. Place Tip down on a tissue. Blow lightly from connection end. Allow to sit a few minutes. Wipe off and use a Q-tip to clear Drip Tip.
Simple fix for light gurgle - light long draws.

Once familiar with a ProTank, Evod,T3, ETC. - they will rarely show any issues. No dry hitting, no flooding, no needing to be 2/3 full?
Who ever decided that one needs to rethink reason. Why have a 3ml tank that can only vape out 1ml before requiring refilling?

I vape my Tanks DRY without any sign of flooding............Unmodified!:glare:
