At the Hospital today...

So I'm downstairs in the huge pharmacy waiting on my meds ( woohoo blood pressure down to 130 from 186! ) And i went up to the security guard and asked him if i could vape outside. He said sure, so i was a happy camper vapin away in front of all the NO SMOKING signs

Mom had a room to herself when she was in the hospital. That made it nice for me because I kept her door almost shut so that I could see it open when somebody peeked in. I vaped my little heart out. Mom told on me to a nurse..but since she couldn't smell anything she just patted mom on the hand. Mom just rolled her eyes.

I love doing that. When I had to go to the er because of a migraine I was just waiting there vaping away in my room waiting for the doc.

I've posted about this before, but my Aunt Judy has been going through treatments for breast cancer for the past few months. She was interested in my e-cig because she was afraid of spending so much time in hospitals without her cigarettes. She has been vaping for months now and is allowed to vape even when in the hospital for days at a time. At least where she has been, the staff is fully supportive of vaping.

my mom openly vapes at when she has my grandma at the hospital. I, on the other hand, have yet to figure out how to vape whilst in my monthy MRI's for 2 hours.... stupid magnets.....

So sorry Mary Kay, I truly know the pain of watching your loved one slowly disappear. My Mother-in-law started in 08 and she can say some of the darndest things.

My mom is 78, in the last stages of dementia and she sure says the darndest things.

My mom lived a very long and fruitful life..she passed quickly and her dementia was still in the early stages until her thyroid went south. Thank you all for your comments. I am sorry that so many of you dealt with or are still dealing..it is hard.

Mom smoked for 70 years..she had lung cancer and lived to tell the tale, but continued smoking.
The Dr. who operated on her lung said that she was at a greater risk for dementia due to the reduced oxygen to the brain.

I am hoping it will be different for us..at least we aren't smoking or for some smoking less. Of course that means I will get hit by a beer truck while out walking!
