First, how long were you a smoker?

Second, what is your PG/VG ratio?

Have you any allergies?

What set up are you using?

Answer these and we may be able to help out. If you are truly having such a hard time and you are scared, you should go get checked by a doctor.
I was never a smoker. it's 100% vg. no allergies. and my setup is a smpl mech mod with velocity rda with dual coil build each coil is .5 ohms. (sorry if that's the wrong terminology).

VG is notorious for giving the heavy lung feeling. It very well could be that the amount of vapor is just too much for your lungs. Especially with it being high vg content.

You may want to try something with a tad less VG and keep playing with the ratios until you find the fit for your lungs.

Isn't PG bad for you though? I heard its what's used in antifreeze.

uhoh... a Simple Mech and a Velocity?? not a good combo to be using.... Velocitys are not designed to be used with semihybrid/hybrid mods... get a mech with a center pin style cap/510 connector ( Panzer or Overdose for example) .... or get an atty with a longer extended + pin...

did someone sell you this setup or did you put it together?

someone sold me this setup. It's a mini velocity rda though. Is that still bad?

Well I've been vaping for about a day so haha I don't know exactly wha
This thread doesn't sound right. A non smoking athlete who starts out vaping 100 vg and a SIMPLE mech and velocity with BASIC dual coils at .5 hinting about pg, antifreeze connection?

Ok let's not jump to conclusions.

As far as PG being in antifreeze. Yes. BUT(!) it is in the same antifreeze that that is safe in case animals and children get into the puddles that can leak out of cars. Antifreeze used to be toxic and many animals got sick from getting into those. Kids too.

PG is found in food items and in products found around the home.

Water is also in antifreeze.

Sorry and you did come to the right place, it just sounded a little fishy and please excuse me if I was wrong. That is a pretty hi powered device and we just dont see beginners , especially those who never smoked, vaping that type of set up. If that is what your going to vape, then that's fine. You can try lowering vg as already mentioned or try a single coil in the 1 ohm range, that might help because it will be a little lower in power. But in all honesty, vaping is different than the body is used to, you are breathing in a vapor and the body needs to get use to it. Even for smokers, it's a funny sensation at first.

hi and welcome!

as the others have pointed out: a starting vaper using a mechanical mod and an incompatible atomizer ... even most long-time vapers won't touch due to the potential dangers in such a combination.

side note: i misunderstood the title ... i thought the post was about a vaping marathon :vapor:

As vaping gains popularity, we will be seeing more never smokers starting to vape.

Better they learn here than from those that are only interested in making money
