is it possible to host or broadcast the event on elixir? even if we have to record it and edit it, it would be fun to share our night. I love video Editing so i have no problem, whatsoever, with taking any video captured and making a recording of the event.

If the place has wifi I can connect to this shouldn't be a problem.Of course anyone who doesn't want to be recorded would not be.Once you hammer out a date I should be able to make arrangements with the regular scheduled host or at least broadcast on my channel so it would be recorded.

Hawt, the date and time is already scheduled firm... i just haven't gotten confirmation of my location of choice... if i don't hear from them by tomorrow after work i'm going to my #2 choice... after that i'm going to ask for someone in Dartmouth to contact Big Leagues (I don't drive and figure that a face to face meeting has a better chance than email.)

Ok... it looks like my first choice is likely out... i got a reply from the manager at 2am this morning... he's talking about needing approval from the province and the city saying that its not violating the smoke free places act...

I responded to him about the fact that Personal Vaporizers do not produce any smoke and how there are no regulations or rules as to how and where we use PV's.

If he doesn't get back to me before COB today, i'm going to go to choice 2 and talk with them... i suspect they're likely to be fairly responsive...

i'll let you guys know as soon as i have a final answer...

i have a few more people from here on base interested in showing up and learning about PV's... going to be looking at having a prize just for newbies who come out to try the devices.

Jay, just a thought......it might be a wise idea to approach places #2 and #3 anyway just to guage their responses -- I'm sure that if these meets take off (which I don't doubt that they will), we might want to consider having regular monthly or bimonthly meets and it would be great if we could rotate the locations between them.

i absolutely agree... would you be willing to spearhead the look at various dartmouth locations and the talks with them? if this one goes off well, which it should, i think we should rotate it around the hrm.... halifax/dartmouth/sackville/etc...

Just thinking....anyone here a member of the Canadian Legion? I was thinking that if there were any members here, it might be worth a try to see if any of the local branches would allow us to host a meet. Good idea, bad idea? What do you think?

i'll go chat with them tomorrow... i'm not a member but i am technically a 'veteran'(in the loosest sence of the word as i never served in a combat zone, let alone heard or fired a weapon in anger) and mebbe they'll go along...

as for Michaels, no go so far, and i went to the Lions Head... well... turns out that Eli (the owner of michaels) bought them out and the manager there is the general manager of michaels... so i really need someone to check out the dartmouth locations cause i'm running out of places that i can get to with relative ease.... if you find a place that will allow vape meets (don't confirm anythign with them just yet) let us know here and we'll see where we get access to first... the date and timing is 24th of march, roughly 7:00ish till we get bored and decide to go home...

I just got my next vendor prize pack..

as for location... still frustrated on location, but i won't give up... i will have a location before the end of the week.

WOOHOO!! Finally got to Gerry and he's agreed to host us at michaels bar and grill. Were getting the 'alexander Keiths Maple room' from 7-8, and then after that we can stick around for karaoke with Laurie the Guy. Gerry did ask thy once we leave the private room to vape outdoors and I said that wouldn't be a problem as it will give us a chance to proselytize the smokers out back...

Will email the vendors tonight and have them email their customers tonight and let them know about the prizes and fun to be had!!

Along the same lines, I've been trying to figure out which, if any, establishments here in Dartmouth have private rooms and I can't think of any...not to say they don't exist - just goes to show how much I 'get out' having four kids underfoot! Jay? What would it cost to rent the room from 7-11, even midnight? 1 hour is not sufficient for a meet and we are better off at Curlys.

its not that we're kicked out... just that i just booked it for an hour.... i figured that we'd only need an hour to play around and do a few prizes... then we can go out and 'mingle' with the common folk.. LOL
