What's up guys

Been dripping / building for a while now . Got caught in the hype and purchased an aspire Atlantis for Convinience , in the car and stuff other then my kayfun to get some nice clouds sub ohm ( kayfun is on a eleaf 1.6ohm build )

I don't know what to believe ? Reading tutorials that say aspire Atlantis coils are terrible for you with the fiberglass or whatever .

Anyone have a link to rebuilding Atlantis coil? Anyone have any input on their coil controversy ? I'm thinking if I rebuild it , maybe health risks will be lower ?

Any help is appreciated

just tried an Atlantis at the local vapor stop, don't get me wrong, tis a fine changeable coil head tank system, but my first attempt to build the Russian, kicks it's azz.

All in all, if one can build and wick a decent rba tank system the Atlantis will leave one wanting, wanting their own build that can rock vapes, or something like that.

I mean, it's okay and all, but seriously, if one can build and wick properly, it's nothing special, and more of a novelty.

Vape long and Prosper.!!!

I disagree... It's not a novelty, it's a game changer when it comes to clearomizer. It gives the average none rebuilding vapers a easy taste of subohming.

I am willing to bet my left.... hummm... hand that in 2015 we will see more and more extremely well performing subohm clearos and regulated mod that can fire them. For better or for worse, this is going to change the way a huge percentage of vaper vapes. Thus the Atlantis is a game changer not just a novelty.

I believe it brings new meaning to the clearomizer, it will not be the win all, change all of the clearo world but it is a gentle nudge in the sub ohm direction that so many people want...and so many fear...although I do not personally share everyone else's belief that everyone will be blowing their faces off with a measly .5 ohm coil...I've built much lower (safely of course lol) and still have an intact face :p

The need for sub-ohm vaping has been eliminated with the advent of high wattage mods.

It's all about wattage, anyway--always has been. On a 3.7v mech mod, one had to build sub-ohm coils to achieve high-wattage vaping. Now it makes little sense, at least to me. Higher watts and more coil surface area is the way to go.

Agreed...to a certain extent, my sigelei 100w IMO performs better at .2 than it does at any higher than 1.0 ohms...not to mention running at about 60w at .2 gives me all day battery performance, whereas with my higher ohm builds I must crank the watts all the way up and get very diminished battery life IMO

Whatever works.

I'm much more interested in the quality of my vape (flavor, airflow, ease of use, safety) than with sheer power. That's why I'm so excited about the DNA 40 technology. Never been into mechs and sub-ohms and cloud chasing, so I can't really discuss the finer points of that style of vaping. :) And since I always have at least two or three PVs going at any one time, battery life is not of great importance to me.

Yeah, we sit on two opposing sides of the fence with kanthal/nichrome/gpat (ss...lol) but I will hop on board with you on the DNA40...never getting a dry hit and having temp control far outweighs any opposition I have against lower watts...although you must admit in a new way you too are on board with sub ohming if you are building a .1 nickel coil for your temp controlled DNA40...just saying:2cool:

And a true subohmer never leaves out the key points you brought up as well..."quality of my vape (flavor, airflow, ease of use, safety)" I would not build a 900 hp engine without knowing it will run correctly, efficiently and safely...those are key points to any experienced vapor who knows their stuff, raw power is just a bonus...
