Yeah, we sit on two opposing sides of the fence with kanthal/nichrome/gpat (ss...lol) but I will hop on board with you on the DNA40...never getting a dry hit and having temp control far outweighs any opposition I have against lower watts...although you must admit in a new way you too are on board with sub ohming if you are building a .1 nickel coil for your temp controlled DNA40...just saying:2cool:

Well--technically speaking. :p

And a true subohmer never leaves out the key points you brought up as well..."quality of my vape (flavor, airflow, ease of use, safety)" I would not build a 900 hp engine without knowing it will run correctly, efficiently and safely...those are key points to any experienced vapor who knows their stuff, raw power is just a bonus...

Like I said--I have great respect for true sub-ohmers/high wattage vapers who know what they are doing and why--and know all about battery safety and clever coil builds. It's an art, but it's not for the uninitiated or the faint of heart.

I iz a arteest...lol I will admit it is not for the faint of heart and it takes some time to master and quite a learning curve if you value your face (I do ) I will admit I was very surprised at my initial reactions when I first signed up for ecf...I have been a LOOOOOONG time vapor but did not think about the rest of the vaping community when I first starting posting and I discovered very quickly MANY people are against subohming...that was news to me, I have been in this "click" for two years now but was received as a newbie who will destroy the vapor image, blow clouds in public and destroy my face and any children close to me...that was an eye opener...I know all my safety rules and teach them as LAW to anyone who wants to get into it but that was not in my posts so I guess I can not hate too much lol

Idk whether it's juice or "fiberglass" that goes in your mouth , feels like pop rocks sometimes when hitting it . Flavor is cool for like the first 3 days and then when you switch some seem to make me nautious how it tasted in this tank . Maybe I'm doing something wrong ? Maybe this coil needs to be rebuilt? I don't think so . I'll stick to my mutation x and drip and build flavor is unmatched . I tried this tank for Convinience and I drive a lot for work and dripping and driving is sometimes dangerous . It's ok I guess to someone that doesn't build but since I do it's just sub par .

I rebuilt the atlantis coil fairly easily, just youtube search for how to rebuild the aspire BVC for nautilus and scale it up, using a standard coil (spaces between wraps) & ... cotton. I used 24gauge kanthal and it came out to 0.8. Honestly, i don't remember how many wraps i did.

I was looking at that and the orchid. just haven't gotten around to picking either up yet. but thanks for the advice

Only thing is that neither the kayfun nor orchid can match the airflow on the atlantis. I agree with previous commenters though, the atlantis is more of a novelty cloud blower, even at 30 watts on my DNA i get a lot of spitting which sucks. I have not tried a LEMO yet but I've heard it has pretty wide air, maybe try that?

LEMO does sound pretty sweet, and to think I thought I would save money by stopping smoking lol Thanks for the recommendation.

I've got the new Lemo Drop coming, should be here tomorrow. I'll update with how it does.
I've got a kayfun lite +, nautilus mini, atlantis, and plume veil clone to compare it to. My thought is, it will be like a rebuildable atlantis.

Yup. Per Aspire lab test certificate--now conveniently removed from their website.

http://kn100.info/hosted/scs.pdf

I have no idea what that material is, honestly, so I don't use their coils. It crumbles and it burns--go to 13:30 min in Phil's video:

Test is done on Fiberglass Paper (White Fiber)..... which is what exactly??

The test also does not state if this White Fiber is used in Atlantis coils, no mention of Aspire, or Coils.

Need more facts and less paranoid assumption.
