Question: can you rebuild using only resistance wire? Would that cause any problems. I really hate working with nr.

Without the use of NR wire, heat build up may be a factor from what I have read.

Having watched the video on making the NR-R-NR coil, I tried it myself. It's quite simple, once you have tried to do it. The learning curve will be how long a piece of R wire to use, which is dependent on your wicking material and your desired coil resistance.

I've never rebuilt any coils, but I'm looking forward to tinkering with it (I do have some experience working with small gauge wire). The loop method of joining NR/R looks pretty straight forward... just a matter of training your fingers to make it happen in such a small space ;)

Anyone having good luck using cotton wicks? What would be the difference in prep with cotton compared to silica (boiling, etc)?

When I get a couple of more Divers, I will be experimenting with different wicking materials and configurations. At the moment, this thing is vaping so well, I would hate to take it apart.

First up, will be a single strand of 3mm German silica and then I'll try some 100% cotton yarn. I'll probably stick with 2/3 and 3/4 wrapped coils.

just fyi, using n/r, r wire for coils is similar to what is used in the GG atomizers.
Although i don't understand the technology of it, most rba, rda, use only R wire, but once you get the hang of it, its worth the trouble just because of the vape...
its not so much about which is better because both are good in their different designs. just saying.
you can get pre-made coil wires ....

most of those RBA's are set up with a screw on each end of the wire where it terminates at either end of the coil, and resistance stops at those screws. In this set up, since the leads are long and have to run down the cup, setting up the NR leeds gives the same results of the screws (my layman way of explaining it to myself anyways)

Grail 306 version (prototype) is ready. I live with it some time.
Shield pole, no leakage, almost 7-8 big Halo drops autonomy for a 306 bridgless atomizer. If it cost effective we will start the production right after the scuba tank.
The Grail rebuildable dripping version for Diver is ready and wait for costing

Is that a photo of the dripping version of the Diver, or the 306? Also, Scuba Tank? As in a tank designed for the Diver? Any photos available to tease? =)

This is the 306 version.
Diver dont need in order to work a special tank. As always said any 35mm tank with tight end caps are the right tank for the Diver
U can take a look of prototype scuba tank here

Please guys can you help me out on this one ?
When i fill up my tank with the diver ,it's pooring right down the bottom, my centerpost is very loose , and mostly not making good contact with my batt.
What am i doing wrong?

What PV(s) are you using with the Diver?

Center post is loose? Are you referring to the Diver's brass center post? If so, has it not been inserted properly into the base?

Question . . . Check to note if the coil assembly is actually touch the brass pin, while seated in the ceramic cup.

I'm simply grabbing at straws, here. The Diver is very simple by the nature of its design. If set up properly, I cannot see how you might be having these issues. As such, with a bit more info, I'm quite sure that there is a simple remedy for your situation.

- Andy . . . Don't let the Ciggieman getcha . . . Vape'em.

I'm using de Vamo and the K100, i put the brass pin tight on the ceramic and it still leeks but less than before.
I think the issue is the tank ,i need to find a good 35 mm tank ,but i can't seem to find one in europe there all 45 mm.

For European vendors, atmistique does carry several tanks that are up to par. Look at their Siam Mods section. You can specify 35mm for the tank, and will have to pick the end caps separately. Konstantinos may be of some help here if you decide to purchase the tank through them.
