The Far Side
Hi all. I was hoping someone could help me with my leaking problem with my Divers.

My 2 Divers vape fine upon first fill but when they get down to 1/2-1/4 tank, they start to leak. At first, slow leaks but as the liquid gets less, the leak gets stronger. Also, at that level, I start getting a lot of gurgling and later, less vapor, which indicates to me that they are flooding. Both 2 Divers set up with 1x2mm Ekowool, one running at 2.7 ohms and the other at 1.5 ohms, both with NR-R-NR wires. I use a new IBTanked and Phiniac tanks, o-rings secure. I also use 70VG-30PG juice, I make sure the wicks don't extend lower than the first thread and also that the hole and wick slots form a triangle. The R wires are 32g and 30g, the NR wire is 32g Nickel. The ceramic sits securely on the base, no cracks, pin is inserted fully. In other words, I've tried to follow all the tips in the various Diver threads as well as on youtube and I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I know a similar problem has been discussed in a Diver thread somewhere but I couldn't find a definite fix. I've got a couple more Divers coming but I would be hard pressed to use them if I cant solve this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think its because Ekowool wick.
If u still want to use this kind of wick i suggest to do the follow steps:
Pls try to cut the wick until the last thread of base. Then put the tube but first turn the wicks upwards.

Pls do me a favor and try also a normal setup with double 2.0mm silica wick

Waiting your feedback

Yeah, by the time you return, we'll have modded up the Diver to be quad-coil, solar powered and variable resistance. :vapor:

You want to cut your wick just above the top thread. You don't want the wick to get caught in the threads when you screw the tube on.

TM! :)
I think at the bottom thread close to the base as he is using ekowool and turn the wicks upward in the tube. A silica user should cut closer to the first thread near the ceramic.
Suspecting the wicking properties are different between the two types of medium.

Maybe so but I use ecowool too and before I started using the new longer, twisted wick up inside the tube I was cutting my wick at the top of the thread below the cup and it worked fine. I never got any leaking, just gurgle on the first drag.

I wish you could help me...I also use strictly eko and have used both methods, used the strand coiled in the tube last night and still have leaking on to my 510 connection if it sits for a bit.
 I hate the thought of going back to silica.
Mine gurgle a bit at first and it goes away after a few hits and then when I go back in a bit it is leaky and gurgles.

I tried Boss K's method of putting coiled strand down by ceramic and the juice flow was not appropriate and dry hits came quickly. That is when I coiled it in the tube as Kat suggested.
meh :)

Most of the leaking is cause by the ceramic cup not seated far enough and juice is leaking around the cup. The happens alot with nickel NR wire. I use silver and don't have this problem.

Yep, I moved to silver with the diver. I own many GG attys and have been using Ni/ceramics for a long while and am familiar. My ceramics in the diver set ups can not be removed by hand after insertion. I feel they are tight enough. The leaks is coming right out of the center pin hole. I would suspect flooding as if I vape it before it starts leaking it is flooded and I can vape the gurgle away until I set it down for 5-6 minutes/8-10 minutes i have a flooded top cap on my mod. :(

I don't know what to tell you. :( The only time mine has leaked out of the connector was when I didn't have the juice hole outside the tank when I filled or when I filled via the top fill hole with the Diver still in the tank. Those times my juice ran straight through the connector and all over my hands.
