Hoping some of the veterans here can help me out. I have two divers, one is fine.

The other, however, is seriously leak prone. From what i can tell from comparing the two, the leaky one has a slightly shorter or compressed (0.5mm or less) plastic/delrin/rubber insert vs the good one.

I discovered the gap when I inserted the ceramic cup and the brass pin with no wire and found i could shift the base up and down with one hand and pinching the cup/pin in the other. This of course means that even if the the cup rests directly on the shoulders of the brass pin, there is a nice gap all round to let juice flow by.

Any thoughts or fixes?

thanks,
chris

I don't know if it's the same issue but my center pins were tad bit long so they wouldn't let the ceramic cup sit all the way down. The fix was easy, I just took a little off the length of the pin with a file. I did it by hand and it fixed the problem. Both pin and ceramic cup are now fully seated.

@curisu: Make the angle in the wires edge before you put it in the bottom of the ceramic, if you still have problem please inform us

@RickCain: please try the method @ragball suggest

The Diver was not fully inserted into the tank during filling so the hole was outside the tank until the fluid was in - I used the GP cartodriver to ensure it was correct. Gonna give it a try again tonight just to test my will.

I recieved my Diver yesterday and put it in my Scuba tank today with a 2mm single strand ekowool build with 32g kantal NO non resistance wire, 4 wraps and it came out to 1.8 ohms. got to say i'm really liking this thing! super easy to fill with the scuba tank. so far the flavor and vapor has been spot on! no leaking or flooding sofar... but i've only been using it for an hour or so.

Last night, I took a ceramic I knew was causing leaks and used this trick to rebuild. I did not leave extra wick, I wanted a generic Diver setup to see what impact this would have on its own.

I filled the tank to 90%, and carried it around all day, vaping it occasionally so it would have plenty of juice left by the evening, as most leaking occurs when the tank draws down from full to around 50%.

As of this evening, I have no leaking or condensation at all anywhere between the Lux top cap and 510 connector and the Scuba and Diver bases. Please note, I was about to toss this ceramic, as nothing else seemed to work to address the leaking with this one.

My other Divers are not experiencing any leaking, as I assume the ceramics on those are fine. I will be adopting this trick for all my Diver builds, and I'll update if I see any leaking.

Keep an eye on the delrin piece in the top of the base as having NO nr wire will cause any wire that contacts it to get hot and melt the delrin. NR serves as an insulating wire to avoid anything outside the ceramic to get warm. GL

Update: vaped the tank to empty and refilled. Like a fool, I filled it to about 98% capacity, so of course a few drops fled out the bottom. I vaped off a bit of the juice to get a bit of air in the tank. I've been vaping it on-and-off today, about half-way down the tank, and still dry.
