But if there's juice that goes into the ceramic in then passes along the pin and so along the inner of the insulator, no ?

Without puttin the ceramic, the pin is loose in the insulator, that's what I mean

The Brass Pin is supposed to be loose within the Black Insulator without the Ceramic Cup tucked in. It's the bottom of the Cup which constricts the space (between the Cup and the Insulator). And the Brass Pin 'holds' the Ceramic Cup in place.

Try using the 'other' Ceramic Cup and check the leaking. There could be some inconsistencies in the dimensions of the Ceramics and Insulators... I have issues with one set of them, however my new Diver's parts are perfectly tight-fit all around and NO LEAKS anywhere/anyway!

I've taken a bit of time away from futzing around with my gear due to work. I'm thinking of trying out another idea with the pin and ceramic. For loose cermaics, I'd like to try wrapping the base of the pin with a something that will make it a bit thicker. I know it will probably wedge my ceramic and risk breaking it upon removal, but I don't mind, as I have close to 40 of them.

Konstantino, any ideas on a material to use to create the thin wrap? Aluminum foil? I might also hammer out some silver NR wire to be flat and wrap it around.

Genrally, the looped NR lead seems to help, but not always. I want to continue trying things out until I get something that is more foolproof. Right now, when I rebuild a Diver and install, I'm never sure if and how much it will leak, so I leave it at home for a day before I start using it on-the-go.

FYI I also have this issue with my Kayfuns. My builds with those occasionally have issues. They start off fine, and halfway through a tank, they start pouring juice out of the air hole. After a bit, they stop leaking as abruptly as they started, and then work fine. Really annoying, especially since this never happens at home, always somewhere outdoors where I have no towels to clean up.

Couple of flooding issue to start but pulling everything out, made sure ceramic was in tight, and base and top were screwed in tight and it seems to be good now.

The Greek Connection and just a small bottle of GVC

@SheerLuckHolmes: Diver is side feeding not bottom and cant work in AMP tank or GG UFS.

@Kataphraktos: we cant find something easier. If you going to use some other material pls keep in mind that there is a risk to block the air and of course as you wrote to brake the ceramic. As always i like the you always experiments with new things :)

The wrap would be around the pin, and not cover the air hole in the bottom. I was thinking of conductivity, I assume aluminum might inhibit current, so I figured I'd see if anyone had any ideas about other materials that are highly conductive that come in a format similar to aluminum foil. I'll go with hammering out some silver wire for now, and do some research.

Edit: Yeah, as I suspected, aluminum is nowhere near as conductive as silver. It's silver hammer time.

Isn't there conductivity wire in phone line cords? I remember a vid by Todd where he modded something with this wire. Sorry I don't remember the details.
