Been looking at those, see they mention it uses Nikrothal for the R wire.... Trying to get more info on that type of R wire as i do not see it used much (or at least mentioned) with rba's.

It's nichrome wire made by Kanthal... Same stuff used in most attys and cartos except for HH357's and the like. It's thin gauge, heats quickly, and as long as I torch the R wire before wrapping, and give it about a half a tank of juice to season the wire, I can't tell the difference between it and Kanthal taste-wise.. :)

It also takes dry-burning very well... I have not had one to pop yet...

I'm still in the learning stage with my Divers. They vape perfectly, but I am getting a tiny bit of liquid escaping through the bottom into the well. Not enough to not be pocketable, just a couple of drops or so. Funny thing is, it always seems to be the same amount of liquid between the Scuba and the mod well, it doesn't continue to build up. I have to continue experimenting with the wick, I suspect I am either leaving too much or not enough when I trim it down.

Just got my Diver today and it's pretty fantastic, but here's a question; how in the hell do you get the ceramic cup out of the base without breaking it to pieces?

If you are trying take a set up cup (coil in it) then make sure the wires are straight. One hooks inside the cup pin and needs to be straightened out.

ok, here's a good one: anyone tried using the Diver inside an UFS?

I was so lucky to find an UFS today and thought i might put my Diver inside it but the feeding hole of the Diver is making useless the liquid feeding system of the UFS. Besides: i tried to use them both tonite but the UFS keeps getting flodded and i can't fix this issue.

Any idea ?

Yeah I got that, I own a killer, my question was how do you get the cup out without breaking it? The positive post seals it in so tightly that I broke two ceramic cups trying to get them out.

broke couple ceramics on my first try of building them also
now i use a hex wrench to push from the bottom
i don't recommend it but it works for me :D

I saw this procedure somewhere and it works even for me.
With a very tiny screwdriver pull out the brass pin first, very gentle movements from inside to outside. Then move left-right the ceramic cup.

Another way to take off the ceramic which worked for me, is to leave the diver base on your battery mod, and twist the ceramic with your fingers.

This has worked for me . . . I use one of my grandson's small rubber party balloons and hold the base unit of the Diver in one hand, as I gently twist and pull the ceramic cup out.

I am calling that the wet suit method. :p :D

sircharles, I am really enjoying the form factor of this device. It simply goes hand in hand with the Diver. As an avid fan of the Diver and drippers, the Grail completes the package for me, until Atmistique comes up with another device.

Thanks

I really like the Diver
I have 2 setup on rotation right now
IBTanked & SnP

I got another Diver and grail from classies

I asked this long ago about using one in my UFS. I wish it would work ever day. The Killer 705 is what we are stuck with.

I dont think that Diver can work with UFS

You are exactly right!
