I don't think they should base making a tank with a flange recess or not based on how many Divers they sell..

I have 3 Divers and 2 tanks..

I don't need anymore Divers at the moment, but I am currently on the hunt for another tank..

There are, I'd imagine, a lot of people who already have a Diver and would jump all over a Phiniac with a flange recess..

First they aren't making a Diver tank, just recessing the hole in their delrin bottom caps and selling the caps. Maybe that's what you meant.

Second I think they feel if nobody knows they are selling the Diver nobody will know that they have the recessed caps. They are going ahead with the recessed caps anyway though. If you want to buy a Phiniac tank with the recessed cap then you would just add that in the comments or email them what you want. They aim to please.

Could be a few issues..

Does the pin fit real tight into the ceramic?

What tank are you using?

Some tanks require that the Diver juice hole be outside of the tank when filling.. My SnP is like this. If I fill it with the juice hole inside, I get leaks..

I've tried many tips and tricks to deal with leaking, and it turned out the solution was to fill up to around 70%. Anything more, and it will leak until it drops below this level. I've had 3 different Divers pass through this Scuba in the last 10 days, and even with the default build, I got no condensation or leaks.

Yeah, they are only doing the delrin caps for now. It would be too expensive for them to do the Titanium caps (I don't think they are selling SS caps anymore) on an untested product.

If you have a drill press you could drill it out yourself.

Addendum to my last post: this happens with other attys and tanks that use air pressure to feed, including my Kayfuns. The Ithaka would do this as well, but the design is such that filling to the rim leaves a pocket of air in the top.

Im my time, trials and errors with the Diver I have found that leaks are mainly caused by a few things..

A) Like Kataphraktos said tanks should not be filled to the top. His 70% is a good marker to follow.

B) Another reason for leaks in the tanks that I have tried is filling them with the Diver juice hole still inside the tank. I use a carto tool and slide the Divers juice hole outside the tank when filling.. No leaks! If I fill with the Diver juice hole still inside the tank, I get leaks!

C) All ceramics are not created equal. The pin should fit tightly (and I mean tightly) into the ceramic. If it does not, you may get leaks. What I do when I get a loose ceramic, is grab another.

I'd check these things and see if the leaks stop after following them..

I loathe logos and the Loki is loaded with them so I'd say my preference would be the Phiniac

1) VPX 22mm VX Carto Tank
2) GP SnP 22mm

Both of these tanks have fill ports that should allow filling with the Diver in place but this was not my experience.. I found the Diver to leak worse than an old Russian submarine if it was left in place during filling..

Using a carto tool to slide the Diver out just enough to get the juice hole outside the tank works for me and it was leak free..

I've tried filling via a top fill and the juice ran right straight through. Now I always fill with the Diver hole outside of the tank.

I'd love to use something between the 14500 and 18xxx mods I'm currently using.

see, this is the issue i have with the X8 and AGR2, floods using the top fill hole no matter what! i thought maybe a tank such as the SnP and Loki with 2 holes would be better but apparently not.. Phiniac and a fill tool it is then! ultimatley i wish Atmistique had more than just the Scuba. love that tank with it's bottom fill *port* but i don't want 2 tanks that look the same...

1) Remove drip tip and plop on carto tool.
2) Slide tank up until Diver juice hole is outside tank
3) Fill to 70-80%
4) Slide tank down to sit flush with mod
5) Remoce carto tool and plop drip tip back on
6) Vape the beast!

Titanium is VERY expensive but I wish they would sell Titanium end caps with a recess.. I'd buy another 20mm tank with Ti end caps is a second for my Ti mod..

The only 20mm tank I could find with Ti end caps was the Titanide..

I've been using a refilling drip tip to fill my Diver tanks for the past month. With this method, the 70% rule, and my builds I have experienced practically no leaks. I misplaced my drip tip this week, I don't know where it went. Fortunately, I ordered four more (from IBTanked - my Diver vessel of choice) and they arrived yesterday.
