The best build, which I have in my Billet Box right now, is:
Organic Cotton Ball wick (my first ever)
28g Kanthal A-1, 32g Nickel, 1.8 ohm Microcoil
The microcoil is too large to squeeze into the ceramic. If I did squeeze it in, it would probably impede airflow, look ugly, might change the vape adversely as it would get twisted up, and possibly damage the coil or the ceramic. So I just let the coil rest on top of the ceramic's top lip. Works perfectly.
Other than BB, I run 1.2-1.5 ohms, and those coils are small enough (barely) to get in the ceramic - but I might try keeping them above in my mechs as well, no need to squeeze things when not necessary.
In the v2, cotton ball wick is a little easier to build than cotton yarn, and is, as always, superior to Ekowool (and, I assume, silica, which I don't use).
