Well, it's been about a week with the Diver, and the original pre-made coil... I really like it! :)

I didn't need to rebuild the coil at all during this time. I gave it one good dry-burn in the past week, and was back to business as usual. I did experience some gurgling and leaking from the pin here and there, which I figured to be the carto seals being too loose on my Siam Mods tank. I replaced the O-rings, and have had only a slight gurgle after sitting over-night. This is no issue to me, considering how damned well this little atty vapes..:vapor:

Just out of boredom, I built a new coil last night. I used German silica (the best silica IMO) and 32 AWG Kanthal to make a 1.8 ohm coil. I skipped using NR wire, and to me, I see no difference in flavor / vapor production compared to the NR / R pre-built coil included. I hate joining wires, and am VERY happy I can quickly make a new coil this way. ;)

I can see 2 or 3 more Diver's in my future, and am hoping the Scuba tank will still be in stock along with them in a couple of weeks. ;) I've always liked the concept of an atty tank. I struggled with the GG AVS, AFS, and UFS in the past, and always ended up using cartos in them instead of attys. The Diver is basically the same fantastic vaping experience to me, as the few times I was able to get attys working in the above-mentioned tanks. :toast:

Hey, Technonut . . . Pleased to read that you are having a good experience with your Diver.

I have a few ceramic cup designed delivery devices. As such, I think that the Diver offers the best all around vaping experience with the less amount of work.

Over night, I have been dismounting my Divers from my devices and storing them in containers. In the morning, if required, I simply blot the Diver's 510 connection with a tissue/napkin and remount onto my device.

Here is an example of how I store all of my cartotanks.

I've had really good performance when I started with two strands of 2mm silica which is what Atmistique recommends. Since then I've moved to Ekowool. I have 2mm hollow Ekowool that seems thicker than 2mm silica. One strand will yield dry hits. I've had mixed results with two strands (trying to shove it in the ceramic), but mostly positive. I think it may be because I was over-filling the tank, but in some cases I couldn't get any juice into the atomizer - I couldn't see air bubbles know matter how hard I dry pulled. I have two tanks with Ekowool that are now working well that I only occasionally have to dry pull and make sure that the hole is submerged in liquid when I puff. I've been trying to cut short wicks that don't get caught in the threading and taking care not to block the juice hole. The Ekowool really frays at the ends so I think that may block air flow, I dunno.

Other impressions, tips, or insight with Ekowool in the Diver are welcome.

same with me Firestorm.. last night i recoiling again using ekowool 2mm.. i dont know why, but its seem cant pull out the juice into the carto..

I havent test the ekowool 2mm but i think that if u want to use it u must open the ceramic slots because this wick is not too thin

Right now i already change to normal 2mm wick.. I follow the standard diver wick, (plus also same like my ebaron) but i dont know i getting dry hits.. Seems like the juice not suck into the diver, am i missing somthing here?

Hmmmm... I have some nice, broken pieces of 7/64 FC-2000 ceramic wick which are long enough to use if I widen the Diver's ceramic slots a bit.. I wonder how well it would work??

Technonut: for sure a deeper taste but remember the wick must seat "comfortable" in the slots when it will be wet

MechaHerc: what u have change?

i try to illustrate it to explain it.. hehehe

at 1st when i check it like this

maybe thats why the juice not suck into the diver

Instead of modding the ceramic slots, I went ahead and used a piece of XC-116 ceramic rope. (kiln treated) I've already vaped 1/2 a tank so far, and it's a winner for sure.:) It filled the slots nicely, has better flavor than the German silica, and is throwing out nice clouds.. ;) :vapor:

Good illustration - it matches the guidance given on the Diver product page on Atmistique's website:

Some useful advice on its use:

Screw the tube tightly (a touch of liquid on the o-ring will help) on the base of the atomizer and make a small mark near the side hole of the tube so that it can be easily distinguishable.

Remove the tube and mount the ceramic in the atomizer base so that the edges of the two slits of the ceramic form an equilateral triangle with the small mark you made on the atomizer base.
