:) sounds good! Wonder how old your atomizers are and if you smoke them to the "bitter" end. :)

I have never had a personal atomizer I use ever die. Not a single one ... I think I am just lucky! LOL

I still continue the same ones I started with back in the day. If I notice they are getting sluggish, clean them up and they are good to go.

The boiling killed one ?!?!?! or was it dead to begin with and you tried to revive it?

It was producing a whisper of vapour before i boiled it but i have to bear in mind that it was rinsed out under the tap a couple of times.
Ive always got either a bling in my mouth or my penstyle , im one of those chain smokin , nicotine craving , heavy vapin , iron lung e smokers !

So it did have some good use.

As for reviving i didnt have my defibrillator handy , the pulse had gone.

Funeral tommorow at 1pm. Flowers and donations welcome.

I did try the mouthwash thing once. My atomizer tasted like (Nasty) orange and alcohol until I washed it two more times AND doused it in juice and let it drip dry. I wouldn't say it was BAD, but I actually looked forward to the auto clean cycle.:p

Next time, I'll just put the mouth wash directly in my mouth, cause, it didn't make any more difference than cleaning in plain water.

i NEVER use canned air. Actually had a couple clients use them and it damaged/killed the atomizers. That's why I recommend boiling. Haven't had an atomizer fatality from boiling yet!

You know what Cash, I think my first atomizer may have died because of the canned air. Hmm looks like I can only use it on my cats when they mess my closet up.

Hi, i have 3 weeks of vaping with a Joye 510. The problem i have is that i get to use atomizers really fast. I have about 1 week per atomizer. I already have 3 dead atomizers that provide very little vapor. I'll try to give them a boiling bath (tried only a warm bath but didn't work), but my question is , did anybody took apart a atomizor, metal coils and the rest? I noticed inside the coils of metal there are some strange fibers. Would replacing the old fibers with new ones make an atomizer new? What material would work best(already tried 100% cotton pads fibers) but failed miserably. Any other ideas?
I like vaping, but at the rate i use atomisers, it's gonna be twice more expensive than analogs...doesn't really worth it...

This thread is from 2008 so my FIRST suggestion is to make anew one as the title is misleading :)
Also this thread is pertaining to the 901 not the 510 so its not AS helpful as it could be to you.
FYI the fibers inside the mesh are what helps wick the liqiuid - make a new thread, and ask your questions again giving us more details about how you vape (carts, dripping etc) and no, a week isnt long - I have some 4 months old.

Somewhere in the depths of this forum is a post that said that the fibers are actually Kefler
the stuff that is put in body armor. Totally burn proof. So no I dont think that replacing it is an option.
A while back I decided that since these are electrical devices, so I would treat it as one.

I simply dip my attys in some rubbing alcohol at night and blow out, leave to dry standing up on end.

Since I clean electrical equipment with alcohol it made sense to me to try this,
So far it is working good, my attys are lasting for twice as long for me now as they were before.

When one is really shot, just not producing vapor much any more I will soak it for a day in polident denture cleaner. Then rinse well and dry burn a little.

This seems to bring it back for a while.
After that it is pitch it and get a new one,
