The new Chameleon, is aimed to have interchangeable parts and those parts will be up on the site with their individual listings such as reservoir cone, mechanical switch, etc.

... that didn't fall through the cracks, Switcher snagged that one :D WTG my good man, WTG

I heard that one loud and clear too! Perfecto Mr. Iken!

Just beautiful Vm! I really really Want to try this! Especially for the 10-12 hour ride we're going to have to endure! How long would you say they can run w/out needing a refill/top-off?

I still have some fine tuning to do I think before I really know. I've been using the 901 instead the last couple of days. But really I could only judge how long the carts will last for me. I believe the 801 carts are roughly twice the size of 901 carts, so roughly twice as long lasting as a 901 cart i suppose.

Uh oh on the Switch! but I see your heading to take the little guy head on! If you Need anything, Anything at all please don't hesitate to get me good sir or any of us for that matter! lol I do have an incomplete button here, so if you lose any pieces, we may have you covered my friend. Remember, in between the brass half moon rings, there is a very thin plastic insert. Another side note: The new Chameleon, is aimed to have interchangeable parts and those parts will be up on the site with their individual listings such as reservoir cone, mechanical switch, etc.

I've been wanting a stash of spare switches, so instead of asking for you to send me one, I was looking to order a handful of slightly longer switches from somewhere. 15 for $3 works for me! Once the 7.3mm length switches show up in a few days (and I've installed one), I'll let you know how they fit and will take some pics.

Glad to hear about what you're working towards with the new Chameleon! If I could pick up a mechanical switching section, I'd be there yesterday... ditto a vented endcap ;)

Mmm thirsty for liquids! I ordered 90ml of gourmet liquid, and burned 3 atoms! I'm on day 2! Very upsetting

I got the Blackberry Champagne from AEL, it is tasty!

Switch and Vman: Oddly enough I was meditating in a way last night about our little lizard and visualized in shiny reflective chrome and bling bling brass end caps, added the cone and thought "Oh no" seamless finishes and flushed buttons, i hope!

... and folks thought you were just a pretty face :D Gee Granma you got mighty big ears LOL.

back at ya :toast: thanks ;)
Lol I love ya man.:2cool: Your just that awesome. :smokie:
I sure hope it is not that ugly thing that Imeo is putting out :(

You know me well too well Vap.
LOL I have NO idea what he's putting out. Last thing I heard it was GGTS Storm, but not too sure. Don't really bother for straying away into distractions. What I mean by distractions, is like "influential' decisions being made on our projects I don't hate the GG product, it's actually still a pretty amazing unit and Imeo does pick up some good idea's, but you can rest assured without me going over there, that the lizard will not resemble it. (It better not! Lol J/k feeling humorous today :D)

LOL! With Isaac's track record I can't imagine something ugly leaving the factory. If executed properly, I like the idea since I'm not a fan of brass adapters. :(
Thank you thank you Vman! Yes sir, no Bling-age or flashy, blinding stuff on this side. It can be done for probably the same price, but still.
Chameleon is supposed to signify blend. If I had it my way, the hole unit would have this ability, but then the surface will be vulnerable to what could be permanent scratches and lizard blood. J/K on the latter! No live Chameleon's are being harmed in the production of the New Chameleon!

The extended cone is to conceal the unit in a way, much like the eGo, but with a secondary option that's going to be a Great addition. *cough* AFS?

Ohhh not fair! Thats sounds delicious! Who is AEL?
I really would've been happy to send you buttons Vm! Believe me, there are Plenty here just in case. The price tag isn't bad at all! If you find a handful of them aren't functioning accordingly, please let me or Us! know! lol. You got friends, ya know!
Ventilation is desperately needed. Every time it crosses the list, I think of you lol.

If it helps, When you go to install the new switch, After you adjust the prongs to the appropriate places. Place the button to fit it into the button sector. Press the backing with enough force to ensure that the button is resting in the unit as it would if it were completed. Then measure how much to sand off. Remove the button from the sector, then sand away in small increments.
New type switches would be wonderful. I am always messing with them trying to get them to work consistently. I get them perfect for a while then they start misfiring again, either not turning on or not turning off.
Really Nut? Stuck on off and on? That is certainly no good! That can be a very scary thing depending on what kind of batteries you are using. Can I send repair it for you? or Send out a few buttons to play with?

Food for thought: On the new Lizard, I'm looking for a mechanical switch to be created that has the same recessed feel and movement thats on the present Chameleon.

Well, look at you sir Iken! That is very very interesting. I can't wait to see the final product!!! I have a couple of questions please:

1. Will you attempt to keep the "satin" finish as it is right now on new components ? The reason why I ask is because this was one of the main selling points when I decided to purchase my Chameleon. (You mentioned something in the beginning of your post but I didn't understand it exactly)

2. Will the top opening of the cone be wide enough to fit 801 atties and if so, how will it work while using thinner 901 and 510 atties?

Oh didn't even think of the 801 fit, glad someone is thinking :) I just saw the torpedo design and got all excited, must be a girl thing

I didn't understand everything either, but I was hoping he meant that the finish would match the current finish. That is one of my favorite things about the Chameleon!

Well, if all girls get excited about torpedos, maybe I should get on for my wife  lol

Edit: Sorry, I couldn't resist

LOL Did you mean Get one or Get on?? It seems torpedo's are now the latest aphrodisiac!

Yes, there will be room for an 801 this one is just a chamber prototype. We looking at injection molding to use as Tips too. The scale is still tipping inbetween metal and plastic, but needs to be done regardless, so we can have tips that drip in the appropriate places without having to physically mod the atom ;) :D

And Ooh the Satin is definitely staying. We were thinking of using an FDA Grade aluminum just to stick it to em

Where I was getting at is the GGTS with all the bells and whistles has become a .... ugly two fisted device, it now looks cheap and has lost all its class IMHO.

So, I've been thinking more about 801 atomizers and just had a thought (or maybe just a brain fart, I guess we'll find out):

We all saw pics and instructions posted by WWay on how to remove the black collar from an 801 atty to increase the airflow. I tried it a couple of days ago as the draw on my almost 4 week old LR801 atty has been getting stiffer and I wanted to see what kind of difference I would notice by not having the collar on. Well, it is really nice! Obviously, the only problem is that if I would want a stiffer draw again, the procedure cannot be reversed.

So here's a simple idea: 801 atty with adjustable airflow. If the collar and the atty were threaded, the collar could simply twist on and off like a bottle cap. Also, by untwisting the collar just a little bit you could adjust the airflow to a personally desired level.

Any thoughts?

Ohhhhhhhhhhh I like that idea! BTW with the collar off at least the brass around the bottom of the atty now matches the brass connector :) I took it one step further and got a gold drip tip to highlight it more. Now all I need is a gold O-ring on the bottom to make it complete.

Well, for those who would like different color options, collars could also be sold separately in a variety pack in multiple colors, gold, silver, black...

Thanks for the kind words Vapmn.

Wrt adjustable airflow. If Isaac come up with an *&% system, the airflow will indeed be adjustable (or need to be) for it to work properly, well my understanding anyway.

I know what you mean and I agree completely. I was thinking of 801 atties in general unrelated to the new Chameleon design just to make them more versatile with any device. I feel like it would allow for a better fine tuned vaping experience without complicating things too much and not having to rely on devices and their adapters for better airflow.
