They seemed to have taken a calculated risk and lost. Now they're trying to make up for it by suing. They should go after the logo-ed clones. It's clearly a TM infringement. But to go after those who aren't using logo-ed clones is simply taking their ball and going home, pissy that they list their bet, with another company flooding the market with lookalike clones at a much cheaper price. They shouldn't be rewarded for losing a gamble.

It's past midnight in Shenzhen, Guangdong. I'll have to wait until their morning - my evening - to finalize things with them. I confirmed that they can send me a mixed case (3 red, 3 blue, 3 green, 1 silver), but I'm waiting to hear if I can get a custom Startup Screen.

The "hana modz" startup is disrespectful and in poor taste. I'm hoping they can have it say Shenzhen Cloupor, or my name at worst. I have seen pictures of non-Cloupor made clones that say "evolve dna" at startup, so I know it is not set in stone. For all I know, they have not yet heard feedback that users overwhelmingly are disgusted with any references to Hana on their boxes.

I also made it clear that I would cancel my order if they can not ship it out according to their projected timeline.

If not JB Weld what would you suggest...have never used any so all suggestions would help.

Ok I think there is a bit of confusion over what to and what not to use. JBWeld and LocTite are brand names. They both make similar products. Including both conductive, and non-conductive epoxy. If you want a non conductive expoy that's stronger than say, hot glue, I'd recommend either JB Weld's Clear Weld or LocTite Stik'n'Seal maybe. If you are bad with a soldering iron and want to use a conductive epoxy instead, LocTite 3888 conductive expoy compound might do the trick.

Only the 1:1 clones from Cloupor I've seen so far have the Hana Modz start screen. The non logoed units I've seen thus far just go straight to the main screen.

I will keep three or four for myself+household.
At a 1 in 5 failure rate, I expect two to be sold @ 75% cost to SX350/DNA30 modders.
Of course I will be testing each unit rigorously to find the two ugly ducklings, with both 0.8ohm and 2.2ohm toppers.
I'll take the remaining 4 or 5 into my local B&M's and try to make friends, and if that fails I'll put them up on ebay.

Clear weld from JB weld is non conductive. KwikWeld is a different JB Weld product and is "steel reinforced" so it may be conductive.

Seeking damages of $150,000 for EACH infringement, that's some serious money...

So if it's a trial by jury. Then you get a jury of your peers. Does that mean we will have a jury of vapors. I think it should be by ones who bought the clones. lol. Lots of vaping in that court room. lol

If you read the brief filed by Hana, you'll see that Daily Steals used a Hana-produced image of the Hana Modz. They aren't shooting in the dark. Seems they know exactly who to target for trademark infringement, most of it based on what the vendors posted on their websites.

Unless I misunderstood, it's $150,000 plus the profits made from the sale of the clones.
Kinda the way I read it.....and recovery of court costs and attorney fees....
