I'm not getting something here. If .5 ohm is less resistance than 1.6 ohm then wouldn't 4.2 volts be hot as hell?

0.5 ohms at 4.2 volts is 35 watts.....it would be impossible to vape if you were using 32g wire to create the 0.5ohm coil but if you are using 26g (very thick wire) to achieve the 0.5ohm coil it wouldn't be a hot vape at all. The thicker the kanthal/nichrome wire the lower the resistance and the more watts it needs to achieve a desired temperature.

My dz says at 30 watts at .6 its 4.4 volts so there. And it blinks if you go below 20 watts because the voltage is 3.4 .

Illvapes gives the same pictures, specs, delays, and release times as the other vendors. Logically, they're getting their clone from the same company. Too much coincidence for me to think otherwise. FFS people, you've ordered a CLONE based off of obvious photoshopped pics, specs copied from evolv, and a non specific ship date that is still is a week away. We're all adults here let's take responsibility for OUR actions, we all took a chance on a $70 clone with NO TESTING while the authentic sells for $250. Caveat Empitor! It's not the end of the world. If it works, YAY! If not, a $70 lesson on why not to pre order a CLONE that no one knows anything about.

If you're wondering why anyone would want a vv/vw device that fires .3 ohms / 30 watts, try downloading ohms law calculator on your mobile device and plugging in some of the specs of the evolv dna 30 board. This will give you an idea about the board and understanding of ohms law itself.

Above all, calm down. $70 is not that big of a deal. Furthermore, the Chinese have a knack for knocking off EVERYTHING especially when it comes to electronics. This is a VERY simple concept in the realm of designs. The odds are overwhelmingly in favor of it being a very good product that will blow the lid off of affordable vv/vw devices.

At first i had my thoughts about ordering via elev8vape, because it's a new company, but i am glad with the way they keep us updated.
Also very quick in responding to my questions.
Now hoping for a well build device.

This mod can either make or break such a new company.
For now i am giving it the benefit of a doubt

I ordered from vaportek because I have dealt with them before and the owner will usually email me back that day if I ask him something but I try not to bother them unless necessary. Anyway's vapertek have been good about updating but I am surprised about how much elev8vape is doing as far as keeping people updated. They seem to be doing a better job them illvapes.

Max volts = 8.3
Min voltage = 4v
Max watts = 30w
Max current = 10amps

Lowest fireable coil at 30 watts is approximately is .54 ohms at 7.45 amps and 4 volts. I want this for my kayfun. This will allow me a consistent vape from fully charged to dead battery.....THIS is the reason for variable wattage devices.

This will not shelve my mechs because I like to vape drippers at .3 ohms. That's why I've preordered a gi2

Ugh wish I could see it. I just put in for the paypal type verification access to the co-op section. So it's going to be a while. I was taking part in co-op's over a calivapers but then they changed it to 75 posts or you can't even post. I was in the middle of waiting for something when they changed it on me so I had to find the email address to even ask any questions. Lol. Anyways. So is that a co-op for just the cases? I can solder so if I could get the case and button's etc and the chip off that other site for $50 I might do that just so I have a real dna 30 and for the fun of putting it together.

YAH! I fully agree with everything you said! I know it would suck if it doesn't turn out to be all it's supposed to be. But if it isn't, luckily I can solder and I would just go buy a dna30 for $50 and throw it in there since I should have all the buttons and stuff. Even if I have to chuck the buttons those are like $2 a piece.

Haha 250 dollars lol what a rip off some sx350 chips are selling on ebay meaning mods for 400 dollars i paid 180 for my dz and it has a 5600mah battery abd i ordered a hana clone for 70 so that's ts 2 regulated deivces for the same price 60 watts power 2 mods or 250 1 mod 35 watts.

Yeah I've seen that, I would have posted about it but it's $250. For that price, just preorder a gi2 150 watt mod. Btw, kidney puncher rocks. 250ft spools of kanthal/nichrome for a decent price. If you're in the Phoenix Arizona area, then you can just go to their shop.

Dayum. I figured it would be something like that. It's just such a badass piece of electronics and being made in the US I believe. I wish I had the money for that. Because everything about that is right up my alley. It's built for sub-ohming at super high watt's. Ugh. One day the price on something like that will have to come down and I will be able to afford it. I have never even spend $200 on a mod but if I had that kinda money to throw at my vapegear I might. LOL. If I stopped buying stuff for a few months and saved I could but it
s too hard with new things coming out all the time.
