well its official... elev8vape got there sample in, shouldnt be to much longer until the video comes up, he says its fires at .5 ohms at 30 watts but ill believe it when i see it in the video. on the plus side, the inside looks super clean, i was half expecting to see exposed wire instead of a window

ps. i know its a sample and all but damn those scratches on the back panel have me worried

Face down in the gutter, USA
Though they haven't made any actual announcement, it appears 101's shipment has been delayed a week like the rest, based on their reply to time-frame inquiries on their FB.

Kinda surprised they didn't/haven't sent out an email or at least made a easy to find post on their FB.

Well, looks like it's time to sell some excess stuff so I can buy one of these guilt-free.

Aluminum scratches so easy it's ridiculous. I just want it in my hand now! Super excited

I am looking forward to your review of the "clone".... I hope you include a complete and detailed set of tests that compare the dna and the "clone" side-by-side so there will be no question as to whether the clone is a 1:1 identical match to the DNA in all areas of functionality. At this point I have found nobody that can even verify the clone chip has been tested against the DNA, not even those vendors who are selling the pre-order mods discussed here.... Those vendors have not even had a unit to test thus the jury is still out....hope you are not disappointed when they arrive....

So we wait......

As I stated in an earlier post.....hopefully a full video review will follow.....

I agree. None of that stuff bothers me, at all. I see no issues so far.

Not trying to be an alarmist at all. To me the thing is well worth $70 to have the switches, connectors, machining etc.. already completed. Will make it so easy to replace with a true evolv chip if in the unfortunate event it does die I'd have a true dna 30 for about $150 or slightly less. :)

Yep... that's a thought.....just built another DNA30 yesterday and total cost was less than 80 bucks....

That's how I've been looking at it, too, in a "worst case scenario". I'd also keep my eye on the SX chips as a replacement, too. PBusardo did a video where he hooked the SX chip up to read outputs. They were almost identical to Evolv's DNA chips.

I'm looking forward to Elev8's full review video that is coming tonight, to see how it performs (I already saw the quick video of them firing at .6ohms). But as far as aesthetic complaints, I have none. Anyone here who was thinking that this aluminum box would hold up well to scratches, was kidding themselves from the get-go. Not to mention that this was just a sample.
