i am sure i will enjoy it very much, i just like to be prepared should i run into problems....the soldering and stiff is very easy for me so i would imagine in an hour or so i could swap it all out if needed. hopefully i wont have to though....just not sure what is a good 510 connection for it if it does need replacement.

Chi You Top Cap
I've seen these used a lot and they may look spiffy in the clone well

Welcome to my world...every time I order something online, I have to wait between a week to 10 days (sometimes longer) to get it. The benefits of working for the military at an overseas location..
You could be on one of those floating FPO addresses - with mail taking from 30-120 days and there are other APOs that take longer - be happy with the 10 days! Thanks for serving!!!!

I am still a little confused, so on the male end of the center of a russian 91% is the positive post and the outside is the ground? by them all coming in contact it's a short?

I am just trying to figure this out, and has anyone had any issues aside from the kanger tank.

any atty with a 510 connection has the positive post in the center and the negative is the threads and body. the cana's positive post is so over-sized that it will be shorted if the 510 threads make it down too far (positive pin on atty not protruding enough or in your case if your Russian 91% was an early version 2 with the garbage spring loaded positive pin).

Get a zmax or a vamo then.

You are taking a gamble though for little benefit. Removable battery means nothing if these boards crap out in a month. MVPs can crap out quickly BUT generally they go for quite a while before dying.

We dont know what the longevity of these clones will be. Obviously I am hoping they will last a good long while.
One, two or three die out of thousands and all of a sudden they are a gamble with little benefit?

Any clone is a gamble and sometimes an authentic as well, reasoning good enough to buy from a trusted source.

Like I said before, even if it fails you can simply swap out the chip for a REAL DNA30 chip, swap out the 510 connector for a much higher quality one, and have a genuine DNA30 device that looks and performs just like an Authentic Hana Modz V3 for less than $140. I doubt it would take more than an hour to make the conversion. It's just 12 solder points and a few drops of epoxy to hold the board in place and 2 solder points on the 510 connector.

I've been considering making a better clone than the real Hana Modz. Same DNA30 chip, silver plated 510 connector, pure copper wiring in a lower gauge, and silver solder. I've priced it out and could still build it for less than $160 in total.

Unless of course I find someone with a broken blue clone that would sell it to me cheap, like $10-$20. If I could find one I could build it for about the same price as a new clone.

The point is it shouldn't fail , especially if spending $70.00 + . Sure some can do what you say but most do not want to have to deal with that . It seems you can't even buy a DNA chip right now as many have stated , either sold out or not available .

One thing is for sure , there's no way most who bought this thing would do it again if they knew it was as unreliable as some make it sound.

I've got two, both have the quirks mentioned here like pushing the fire button occasionally once or twice to wake it up and a slight difference in output voltage vs displayed voltage. If I wanted another one I would still buy the Cana over the Hana.
Ya gotta look at just how many of these are out there.

You must be extremely optimistic if you think a first-run brand new and largely untested CLONE chip from China is going to be consistently defect free. Especially with production and assembly being as rushed as it is.

Personally, I will be surprised of there is less than a 30% failure rate after 6 months or so. It's just the nature of the beast.

Wow, I've been gone a few days and that was a lot of reading to get caught up in here. My clone is still working great. I did notice that my 510 is ever so slightly crooked, but not that big of a deal for me. Mine still sometimes fires on the first click coming from sleep, and sometimes it doesn't. I've gotten in the habit of clicking the button once when I pick it up, and it's a complete non issue for me.

On the Illvapes clones the standard Hana v3 (non-mini) wraps from Vapor Skinz and J-Wraps will fit. The main difference I see between the two is the patterns the company used to cut the vinyl, as the VaporSkinz has individual pieces for the thin strip on the bottom of the door etc.

Do you have a preference in the wraps? I'm assuming you have one from both companies? Are the j-wraps all pre cut like the vapor skins?

With the jwrap does the wrap have to be removed to open the back plate? Also looking at the picture it looks like the wraps may have a fitment issue on the top of the mod. The recessed area looks slightly bigger on the clone. Hope that makes sense, and you see what I'm talking about.

Saw someone with a wrap from jwraps did you order hana v3 clone or hana v3 2 pieces?
Thanks

Would also like to know, thinking about going with a jwrap because the style I want is quite a bit cheaper.

Not overly optimistic but i do expect that when i pay $70.00 + i am getting something that can be relied on . A 7 day warranty just doesn't work for me when paying that price , i'll take my chances with a FT hana clone as they have recently stated that even after weeks you can easily return it if failure occurs.

Luckily i'm fine now and i am interested in this device but will wait until things get ironed out first, especially with only a week to find out if it's a dud lol.

just got an email from Wetvapes with my tracking info!! shipped yesterday, should have it friday!! along w a sony batt and a Trident clone....hope it fits on it ok.

has anyone ever thought of adding some solder to the bottom of a recessed center pin to elongate it?? just a thought, all depends how well solder bonds to the center pin material.

Hey Retird, do these 510 from FatDaddy fit flush on the Mod bosex or do they protrude beyond the surface? From what I see in this picture it seems they would not sit flush thus making all your toppers sit well beyond the topline of the box?

They will stick up a bit more than the stock connector but are a better quality.... you can buy replacement connectors like the stock one (except the center pin is more normal) at vendors like madvapes....for a couple bucks....

OK so one of my two mods, the silver crapped out. I took the battery out and let it sit over night. The next day I put my battery back in and screwed on an atty. To my surprise, the mod was continuously firing on its own. I quickly removed the atty, and swapped batteries. I put the atty back on. All looked good. Then I hit the fire button, only to receive the error of check atomizer. I tried all of my attys and got the same error message. I've already contacted wetvapes and cloupor as well. It was my silver mod that done this. I hope I can get some resolution, as I have had this mod less than a week.
