I have a set of 14g Silver conductive epoxy from MG Chemicals, and it "works" but its not super awesome. And expect it to cause unwanted resistance in your build. From .3 to .5 ohms variations in the whole, and make sure to let that thing cure for the whole 10-12 hours they recommend, if you don't its super fragile and screws up. I had to use alligator clips to keep the wire in place (no clips on the epoxy) so it would hold there for 12 hours without putting pressure on it to keep in place.

Unless I misunderstood, it's $150,000 plus the profits made from the sale of the clones.

Obviously the infringement refers to use of the logo and or use of copyrighted images, not each individual sale of the clone.

It looks like they are only asking for $150,000 plus the profits from the clone sales, but with the way its worded earlier in the document they could theoretically (in my brain) sue for $300,000. $150,000 for the logo on the clone and $150,000 for using the copyrighted pictures of the original hanas.

THX.... will use only where resistance is not critical....

HANA created their own problem, IMO. They made a mad dash for cash, instead of seeking a trademark or using their own patented chip, prior to release. As far as I can tell, they didn't even apply for their trademark until the clones were on their way. I mean really, what are they marketing? 6$ worth of aluminum, and another companies chip. For 250$ you too, can have 6$ worth of aluminum, a 50$ chip, some 4$ buttons and a crooked 510. Doesn't that just sound appealing? Oh just about forgot, 250$ also gets you a whole 3 month warranty.

I think you could also add Research and Development Costs, Cost of Equipment, Business overhead costs, Employee Costs, Insurance Costs, Employee Benefits Costs, Federal, State, and Local Taxes, and probably a few more costs. Oh, since they only sell thru Distributors, you need to add the profit margin that the vendor adds on to the cost to them....

I'm sure this has been discussed but why do these clones drain battery life when not in use? Left mine at the office fully charged over night. Came in this morning and it used about 1/4 of the battery.

The eVic supreme has a "heartbeat" and will drain battery also

Is that it , somehow i'm feeling less confident of the long term reliability of these chips and chip variants .

Here's the problems I see with the Hana Modz lawsuits thus far:

1. They didn't apply for trademark until April of this year. This is clearly after most of the clone manufacturers started preorders and advertising. So clearly retaliatory. Doesn't make it wrong, just shows the time frame. Also, the application for the trademark of their name and the logo are both still "processing." They have not been approved and granted as of yet.
Correction, they applied for the trademark in February. Ty Retird. This still appears to be right around the first announcements of the preorders though if I'm not mistaken.
2. There own mod has suffered issues.
3. Several reports of poor customer service.
4. Waiting lists for their current mod are months long in some cases, yet multiple vendors showed up at the con with a handy supply in all colors according to several reports from attendees. This is probably my biggest complaint.
I've had some people tell me different stories in regards to the waiting times but I have a friend that's been waiting on their order for three months now. So some of this may be exaggeration but I don't think all of it is.
5. They are not sending out "Cease and Desist" orders to the stores. Instead, they are going straight for the proverbial jugular.

I feel that any company has a right to protect their trademark. In fact, I feel it is essential that they do so. But it's clear to me that Hana Mods does not have an interest in "protecting" themselves and instead is only interested in the money. Their tactics in these lawsuit is akin to me shooting the neighbor's dog for leaving a dump on my lawn the first time it happens instead of walking over and having a chat with my neighbor about the problem.

I have 5 mech mods that I made from scrap. The R&D there didn't cost me a penny. Their product hasn't changed much except for the chip, which I grossly over priced in my previous rant, to compensate for such things like insurance for employees. They may not even offer insurance as I doubt they staff enough employees to have to. I've worked production in the US my whole life, and know very well how easy it is to mass produce items to spec, with the right equipment. Since they only sell to vendors is another black mark in my book. If their gonna try to run with the big boys, they need to compete, consider ProVape, you don't have to find another seller to buy their products. I am in no way attacking their trademark dealings, except for the fact that it wasn't even there until the clones. I am simply pointing out, that IMO they are charging way too much for their product, not to mention the poor quality some have received.

I did have a pre-order with illvapes but did cancle that and went with elev8

I still haven't got my refund from illvaps even though I got three different emails form them saying my moneys have been refunded.

TBH, in the begining, I was whole heartedly on HANA's side of this mess. Then I started really magnifying their product. As well as reading about all of the negative reviews from customers that did pay top dollar, only to receive a less than perfect mod. IMO, their product just isn't worth the cost. Also, I truly believe that they tried to manipulate the market by creating a shortage. That is a common occurence with some raw materials such as pigments and dyes. But hay, I may have it all wrong, these are just my opinions.

Lol. If you want, I will do. They are ugly 3 are 4$ flaslight converts, but they are working mods, made from flashlight guts and ego tops. The other two, one is made from an altoids box, the other is wooden, and some jb weld.
