Warning to all. I've figured out, in part, what has happened with my dead silver cana from WV. So I dug out a boat load of hot glue from around the 510. I used my multi meter a few days ago and determined the center pin of the 510 connector was shorting to the 510 giving my a closed circuit, causing the check atomizer reading. Anyway got the glue out and found that the center pin is mobile and quite easily pushed down to far grounding to the 510. The center pin isn't tight at all and the only thing really holding it was a dab of hot glue. I pushed the center pin back up and reconnected the ground, which was in the way, and voila. My mod was working again. Now I have another glitch. Once everything is put together, it fires continuously. I figure there's a short somewhere at the fire button. I guess I'll dig into the firing buttons tomorrow. I'm hoping its some sort of short in the soldering on the fire button. Everything else works normally. I have 3 new 510 connectors on the way, I may need to get some replacement buttons coming, I'll decide that after I get all that hot glue dug out from around the firing button. Anyway guys please be careful about tightening your attys. I'm easy on my stuff, so these 510s are really weak. I did loan this mod to my buddy same day it died. He could have possibly been the culprit. I've seen lot of peeps really tighten their attys.
