i do not understand why it escalated that way. I know many vendors. All of them tries to keep their image clean.
If i look through 5 diffrent international forums that topic arrives almost 100.000 people. And much in that business goes through recommendations and the forums.

Deescalation is very important. But that is not my business.
vapewars started, fighting vs a forum is like running into a wall, a new forum is hosted within 15minutes.
but the name of a company is damaged lifetime.

not clever which way this goes. Calm down, think about it and do the right, talk to the people, find a ways to figure the problems out. But anyways that are not my shoes too.

The first rule of Fight Club is: You do not talk about Fight Club

Reminds me of a similar situation with the UK Jewellery company Ratners, their CEO made similar stupid comments which ultimately saw the death of the company.

The best example Ive seen of the people fighting the corporates was the United Airlines complaint.

If you haven't seen the youtube clip its here for some inspiration United Breaks Guitars - YouTube

It just got the 12 million views.......OUCH

what can you say...if you intend to incite a riot I cannot see how you can be surprised when the riot starts.

If every vender that has a place on this forum sued when they felt they or their products had been insulted this would be a very small forum indeed...I guess "free speech" has a different meaning on that side of the big pond...
