Can you troubleshoot and rebuild a Microwave?
Different people have different interest, skill levels and understanding of things in life. Takes time and practice to adapt.

Everyone has different skill sets and learning curves. Judging what others can do by what we can do does not help them. It only serves to add to frustrations.
Exactly. You haven't lived until you've pulled a set of triples down an interstate that is solid ice with a 40mph crosswind. Good times. Definitely not a task for your standard license holder
When I first tried cotton all i tasted was burnt. After Boiling my rolled cvs cotton in distilled water for 15 minutes then rinsing with distilled water, squeezing out as much water I could(between two dinner plates stacked together), and drying in an oven at 150 for about a half hour.... I was blown away at how much better cotton is than silica. You might try boiling the cotton before giving up on it. It made a huge difference for me.
My KFL+ Black that I got on the classifieds arrived yesterday. I though I would try building a coil for that just in case there is a problem with the channels on my first KFL.

I decided to try the cotton balls after umpteen post from people who recommend them. I have my doubts but I will try them. If I can get them to last all week so I only have to re-wick on the weekends, then I'll stick with them.

I noticed earlier you said you were using MBV with 5 flavor shots. That was a huge red flag to me, do you have any other juice to test out?
About 4 months back I got an MBV order, with 3 shots (I think) on everything, and it was horrible. To be clear, I've ordered from MBV in the past, enjoy their juices for the price, but never got flavor shots. With the flavor shots all the juice burned REALLY easy, flavor was awful with a burnt flavor regardless of anything I did.
I felt like I was loosing my mind, I kept rebuilding and rebuilding over and over, getting incredibly frustrated because everything tasted terrible. I had been building great coils for awhile and then suddenly everything I did tasted burnt.
I finally realized it could be the juice causing the problem, rewicked and used a different juice, and the vape was perfect. For one reason or another, MBV juice with multiple flavor shots burns really really easy and doesn't work well with higher powered rebuildables.
I'd really suggest getting some different juice and trying it out. Rebuilding can be tough at first, but it's not supposed to be this tough. You've put a ton of time and effort into getting a working coil, best to make sure the juice you are using isn't causing any issues.

I have been watching this thread and I am glad you finally got one that works. That looks to be a lot of cotton though. You need just enough for the tips to touch the little ledge, I have found.
