Well I only found out about e-cigs 2 days ago so wanting to quit I rushed out and bought what I was told was a great starter kit. Well I wish I had of done more research as I ended up buying http://www.ecigs.net.au/index.php?p...ion=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1&vmcchk=1&Itemid=1 thinking it would be all I need not knowing it was 0 nicotine prefilled cartomiser kit for $100 AU!!! Now after doing some proper research I realise I could / should have got a better starter kit like the Joyetech 510-T which would have set be back $40 max, some ejuice and ordered some nicotine on-line as it is not available here in Australia. All this would have cost me less than $100 I think and I'd be vaping away happily!!!

So after vaping 0 nicotine crappy tobacco prefilled cartomisers all day I'm back on the analogs as I won’t get through the week like this. I really like the idea and am keen to get my vape on I just need to get all the pieces in place before I try again in round 2. Lesson learned I should have waited and done my research instead of rushing out and buying the 1st thing...

It won't connect to your link, but I can imagine. I spent over $100 on the Blu. It got me started but it wasen't long before I needed something MUCH better! Instead of the Joyetech 510-T, why don't you check out the Volt? It's a much better unit, and has better reviews from REAL people here.

Of the four starter kits they have, I'd suggest any of the three that have TWO batteries. And yes, you'll need to start of with a rather high nico content instead of O. Maybe somewhere around the 36-24 mg strength. You can always step down to O as time goes on like I did.

Be aware that there ARE better devices than the Volt, BUT the batteries are larger. How would you feel about something that's the size of a Sharpe or highlighter?

Link fixed... Yeah I think anything would be better than what I bought. I read this on another site which explains why I got what I got ...

Spot on! I looked at the site a week ago and from what they stock its pretty obvious the market they're looking at (ultra noobs that don't do research), no harm in trying tho. Good luck with it mate.

My fiance started with 2 Twist batteries, a USB & car charger and some clearomizers. He's on day 11 and loving it. We have moved up to tanks and have more juice on order. Building a twist kit should be about $40 for 2 twists, $12 for both the USB and wall charger, $16 for some clearomizers. Juice...just get a bunch of sample sizes and figure out what you like. You'll still be under $100 altogether.

That's what I'd like to do but to be honest and even with my noob experience I dont think there is any product there I would return it for and it's all very exe... What would you get? LOL Electronic Cigarettes Australia Pty Ltd (Ecigs) - Aussie Blue® E-cigs / Southern Cross E-liquids

Return it and get an eGo Twist, a drip tip, a box of Boge cartomizers, and some good juice. That's all you need and the little extra umph from the Twist will put smoking in the past for you.

Ah thanks I didn't know there was 1... BTW Found this vid very helpful...

n874,

I seem to remember something about the sale of nicotine in Australia is prohibited. Don't quote me on that because I'm not sure. Since you now have 5 posts I suggest you visit the Australian sub-forum and you should be able to get some help there.

What I don't get is how you can sell a 25/day smoker a $100 e-cig kit with pre filled cartos & 0 nic...???

Because the people selling it are only interested in making money, not helping you find an alternative that actually works. I guess technically they didn't out-right lie as they compared this kit to their even weaker performing model of Blu.

GrimmGreen Is an excellent reviewer, although the majority of his videos are geared toward advanced personal vaporizers, APV. You can spend hours on YouTube finding videos about e-cigs. I would recommend when searching for any videos pay attention to the dates of when they were posted. Advances in this technology has changed dramatically in the year and a half I've been vaping.

Good luck in your journey, it will be worth it.
