Either will work, the idea being the tip of the tube can't suction to the bottom or side of the bottle. That said, it's probably better to make a "V" on both sides of the tube, you never know what direction that little bugger will wind up facing.

Alcohol and a q-tip, is my understanding. Anything more abrasive will wear off the gold plating.
I use dish soap and an old tooth brush, then a drop deoxIT after it's dry. Once every month or two.
You're not? I've done each of my new ones a couple of times. Did I F something up doing that?
You might have shaved off some of the gold. However underneath is still BeCu, so I doubt much of a voltage drop, what you might get is more oxidation due to the loss of the gold layer. So I would use noalox or deoxit for sure after a cleaning.
This noob has a tip for other noobs here in Reoville. If your really working your Reo hard and squonking right after you take a drag your coil will be hot enough to cook the juice before it has a chance to go back down the well. Cooked juice is not good. That cooked juice will go back into the bottle all dark and not tasting like it should.

Since 'squonking' juice to the coil is the very point of getting a Reo Grand, shouldn't the tube come pre-cut, and already engineered to allow proper suctioning of juice? I mean, what if you cut it to big, or to small? This would result in poor performance. Considering the price of a Reo Grand, I really don't want to start cutting on tubes when I first get it.

I do not want mine pre-cut.....I scientifically calculated a special cut I call the 45degree whack attack with a double twist. It outperforms the inverted "V" 10:1 IMHO. Makes each squonk smooth as silk and the juice travels all the way to the coil in just a few seconds.
But do consider... what works for you may not be suitable for Reo beginners. Can you explain your method of cutting the tube? These tubes are $2 each, and can ruined with just a clip of the scissors.

It's not that big a deal, as long as it not suctioned to the side doesn't matter V cut, 45 cut ,star cut, capital B cut will not affect the vape or squonk. to pre-cut them will add costs that are not there now, so the price would need to go up to cover. The suction issue only happens oocasionally to a small sub set of users, but can be very perplexing at first, this more of an ounce of prevention than hard must do.

I look at how much needs to be cut off the tube. Unscrew the bottle and take a knife and cut the end at a 45deg angle.....It is neither pretty or perfect but it does not allow suction.
I was just goofin' off. Trimming the tube is no trouble for me.
Pretty much, but as long as you eliminate the possibility of the tube suctioning to the bottle, the sky's the limit. Be creative!

I think side A, but with the angle going completely across the tube would be the most common. That kind of straight cut does have the outside chance of getting suctioned where the side meets to bottom. I'm the one in a thousand it happened to, so that's why I use the ^ cut.
I know what you mean. I should've taken the angle in A all the over to the tube. I've seen this cut before in bottles that have spray handles that are used for spraying liquids.

You may be right FB...it may be cellar water. I loaded up a tank of Radioactive that has been sitting in the back of the cabinet and have been vaping away like a mad fool. I just looked over at the bottle on the desk and it is 18mg....even diluted with my unflavored it still has a zing. I normally vape 9mg.
