Hey everyone, I just found an alternative solution to the Protank:

Blu cartomizers.

It's the truth. Go buy a pack of Tobacco cartomizers (which taste like thin air anyway), stick a fork in the hole, pull, take the rubber gasket out, and fill! I didn't know it was that easy! Screw the Protank II. If you're not a rebuilder, the Blu cartos work way better than the Protank heads. I didn't wash mine out or anything, my juice tasted the same as in a Protank, even mixed with the tasteless juice Blu uses for tobacco. Want a menthol tinge? Buy a menthol pack? Is your juice a rubber eater? Remove the rubber gasket, it doesn't serve a purpose that I can see.

Sure they're $15 a pack, but you can buy em anywhere. And they work great. New juice even makes the bad ones taste great. I don't see why Blu doesn't distribute Johnson's Creek juice to stores and build their ends where you can simply pull off the ends instead of using a fork - a whole new market!

I knew I liked Blu for some reason...

Why would you buy pre-filled Blu cartos when you can buy virgin Boges for a hell of a lot less, and either punch em for a tank or just fill em without the work-around hassle you describe?

Besides, cartos and clearos are two different animals.

Personally, I have no real issues with Kanger Protank heads.. and the so-so coils can be rebuilt to one's liking, cheaply.

Actually there are a lot of people who already have them so I could see someone trying this out.

:D

Or just use a top feed like the vivi nova... I have yet to see someone in person have consistent success with the protank.

I tossed or gave away most of my other delivery devices after I received and began using my first ProTank. Now I've got 6 of them. I like the original version.

I still have a couple of ZAP's I need to unload on somebody one of these days if you want to talk about inconsistent vapes.

This isn't new. When I set my friend up with an eGo kit, I showed her how to pop the top off her old Blus, but no matter what she put in it the old taste still remained and she didn't like it.

I get the feeling that MJTP doesn't want to work at vaping. He wants a solution that provides maximum flavor without having to do anything at all. No recoiling, no refilling or anything.

That solution hasn't been invented yet.

In all fairness, when I began vaping 2 months ago I didn't know it required "work."
I take care of a sick mother and I needed no muss no fuss ...... in a word; simple.
Anything other than that and I would've just kept smoking.

The market research from the big money companies getting into the vaping game keeps pointing to that being what most people want. I am okay with a bit of work paying off with a better experience but it would be nice if a simple and cheap solution existed. I certainly didn't want a hobby when I started, now I have one.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against the idea of a simple solution that blows your socks off. The fact of the matter is, it's not out there yet.

Many people start off with the Blu's, V2's, etc. and successfully stay off cigarettes. They don't know there are other solutions out there, so in their mind, it's a great solution.

Many of us, however, did more research and discovered that the "cigalikes" were just the tip of the iceberg. And as we discovered bigger and more powerful mods and attys, the thought of going back to a cigalike is like wanting to get back with that witch of an ex you finally got rid of. It just ain't gonna happen.

It would be fantastic if someone could come up with an inexpensive solution that provided the taste of an RBA in a cigalike size with prefilled cartridges. The person or company that manages to do that will find themselves at the top of the pinnacle and rake in more dough than they could imagine.
