I've only had that one but the Mini had some issues from the beginning. Metering all attys before use has kept us from having the issues, more than likely. My first Reo melted button was before I got a multi-meter but the spring didn't collapse. I had attributed the short to the nonconductive grease I used, instead of using conductive like Noalox but more than likely it was an atty issue.
Reminder to people about multi-meters........ The old analog MM I have is not sensitive/accurate enough for testing the small increments we test on our atty/carto/batteries. Pick up an inexpensive digital.
Same here. I'm still using 10 month old 510s and 801s. DH killed one 801 first week vaping and I killed one newish IKV 306 over doing a dry burn after cleaning. The rest slowly fade out.
It was certainly a surprise to me, when 10 metterd/labeled attys wouldn't fire on the tumbled, prior to the spring collapsing. It was only after I pushed it too far, using adapter, that the spring collapsed and I found that three of the 10 attys had been killed. The one that was on the tumbled, with adapter, when the spring collapsed, was not damaged so that points, even more, to an issue with the Mini. And that is an extremely rare thing.
can u only order these from Rob or is there somewhere i could pick one up locally. Im going out of town soon and no way it will get here from rob befor i leave.
