Any links that have information for new Rio users and attys would be helpful. I've gotten a few links posted here and have read them, but otherwise the information is scattered everywhere and a lot of it but hard to know where to focus my attention.
For me I'm either going to like the bottom feeding with an atty, neither of which I have any experience with, or both go. I don't think it is the best design for cartos. My P+ with a carto tank is actually smaller than the Reo Mini, although a different shape, without a tank it is considerably smaller, and the feeding from a tank doesn't require any input from the user. I am looking for the "experience" of attys without the hassle of dripping, I hate more than anything else to be fiddling with my equipment.
sounds like you are where i was when i started bottom feeding; except that i didn't have tanks around to make tank-carto vaping easy and optimal; i didn't like vaping carto's.
The flavor of dripping was just so much better to me (and many), but dripping was a hassle, so i jumped on all the bottom feeders that i could find, starting with the WetBox which disintegrated in a week.
To be honest, because dripping takes a learning curve, it takes time and experience. Bottom feeding is just an extension of dripping (unless you use carto's), but of course you don't need to actually drip. * you still need to know what's what. The trick:
1. matching atty resistance to voltage
2. squeezing the right amount of juice on to that coil area in the atty(from the bottom; which takes away precision due to not seeing what's what. (better to go with less; you can always add)
I eventually lost interest in b/f's because i couldn't get precise enough on either 1 or 2. ymmv.
Regulated VV's (Provari etc) came out and I spent time perfecting my dripping, learning about atomizers and juices. In the end, now, I can target certain attys with a 3.7 mini; no need for VV or meters.
Unless you want to go through all that it's a good idea to get advice as to what to use with the device (currently the Reo Mini) from those that are having success. duh... of course, I don't want to sound condescending to you or anyone who is newer to the game, but i liken things to Fishing; if you want to catch what the locals are catching, do EVERYTHING they do.
- go with a few different attys to try out; but main thing is try the range of resistance (Ohms) that matches with the mini's voltage (true 3.5 +/-).... from 1.5 to 2.0 (LR range), to see which you prefer. These resistances are tailor made for the Mini's voltage. So if something goes wrong, it's not the equipment, it the user... and that's usually too much juice or not enough. (granted that the battery has enough charge - 4.1 to 3.5 volts.
I'd go with the AW IMR 14500... they are the best for LR attys.
hope this helps.
