Also if your spring is bad you have to check you button Uke, many times if someone grounds out the spring collapses a bit or a lot the button also gets a melted spot on it and this can effect performance as well, ME = 1.5ohm HH-357 all the way on my Mini and haven't found an Atty that performs better yet. Flavor/Vapor production Nothing beat this little monster of an Atty. My 357 is almost at month 5 old too !

Instead of starting another thread I will try to get an answer here.

I see comments on "blind spunking" as if it is a 2nd option, what is the first option. Seems there should be a sticky on how to spunk. I know I should squeeze the bottle to push juice up, and probably have to figure out how much on my own. Do you have to keep squeezing as you vape or should it start to feed itself? Didn't seem to do that with my carto, I am still waiting on attys. Can't say I like or dislike this mod yet, still need to figure it out. And I'm not giving it a real shot because I am testing it with a Boge 2.0 and it is really to high resistance for 3.7V. I generally use Smoktech 1.5 ohm which are not stocked by many stores, not that I will need buy them anytime soon ordered 20 of them.

Two kinds of squonking: Blind squonking and squonking while looking into the drip well for juice to come out the holes.

To blind squonk: You push on the bottle while drawing on the atty but do not fire. As soon as you feel resistance or hear a gurgle stop! Then fire and vape.

Squonk: Push on the bottle and watch for juice to show at the holes in the connector in the drip well. When you see the juice stop!
Then firs and vape.

The REO's do not usually self feed. Every few hits, when you notice flavor and vapor drop, you squonk!

this is the first atty in my revisiting the Reo world so far.
LR 1.8 i06, and i say honestly, it's the best taste of my Snickerdoodle over any of the other 3 pv's i'm vaping on today. Clean taste, tons of vapor.
I highly recommend the LR i06 on any pv, but it's like tops on the Reo mini in my book.
I did order a couple custom HH357's btw LR 1.5's (sorry if i already posted that).
I don't recall enjoying the Reo as much as I am now, and it's tiny, stealth, and good on the road... i put the Pyrex d/t on for dripping at home to reserve the 3ml bottle.
If anyone wants, just clip the business end of a delrin black i06 d/t off and it fits a better d/t.

Any links that have information for new Rio users and attys would be helpful. I've gotten a few links posted here and have read them, but otherwise the information is scattered everywhere and a lot of it but hard to know where to focus my attention.

For me I'm either going to like the bottom feeding with an atty, neither of which I have any experience with, or both go. I don't think it is the best design for cartos. My P+ with a carto tank is actually smaller than the Reo Mini, although a different shape, without a tank it is considerably smaller, and the feeding from a tank doesn't require any input from the user. I am looking for the "experience" of attys without the hassle of dripping, I hate more than anything else to be fiddling with my equipment.

REO forum now has a Index thread. In the sticky threads this thread has links to the information you are requesting: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/270331-looking-something-specific-reo-forum-thread-index.html

btw the mini is coming with a bunch of 1.7 resurrectors (wow 2 r's).... what the heck are they?

better go look it up... are they some kind of carto that goes good with b/f's?

Cartos and I use them all the time, the Resurrector 1.7 gives a warmer vape and holds more than the Boge 2.0 carto although they are also a very good carto, depends on taste. Good Luck.

Okay...here are a few references. The best one was written on the Italian forum, but it appears their forum is down at the moment for maintenance or something. If I find that post, I'll copy it here too.

Also, for your reference...we've been working on an index to help folks find information in a more efficient manner. Here is the link. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...omething-specific-reo-forum-thread-index.html It's not perfect, but as time goes on, I think it will be much more helpful. Feel free to drop any suggestions in that thread.

Thanks that helps a lot. The only thing I don't see is how to completely break down the mini. I tried but some parts resisted removal. Particularly the 510 connection. I actually have a tool designed to remove that kind of nut, its a chainring nut wrench for bicycles, but it does the same thing. But with a reasonable amount of torque it didn't budge, and I don't want to try an unreasonable amount of torque. Also couldn't see anyway to remove the battery spring and stuff which is on the inside end of the same assembly. I don't really need to take this apart but I think I should be able to completely breakdown a mechanical mod. Is this impossible or are my nuts just frozen.

The connection is pressed in...so really...no need to remove it. In fact, there isn't really a need to remove anything, save to replace the spring or the positive battery contact. The battery spring can easily be removed by removing the screw on the bottom of the mod. If you are concerned about cleaning....after removing the atty, battery and juice bottle, a good flushing with really hot water takes care of most of the cleaning for you. Some spot cleaning with alcohol can be helpful too.

+1 on this,,, a hot hot water rinse of the unit cleans then up well,,, also a very small dab of Nolax up under the metal tab where the switch is also is a good play.

sounds like you are where i was when i started bottom feeding; except that i didn't have tanks around to make tank-carto vaping easy and optimal; i didn't like vaping carto's.
The flavor of dripping was just so much better to me (and many), but dripping was a hassle, so i jumped on all the bottom feeders that i could find, starting with the WetBox which disintegrated in a week.
To be honest, because dripping takes a learning curve, it takes time and experience. Bottom feeding is just an extension of dripping (unless you use carto's), but of course you don't need to actually drip. * you still need to know what's what. The trick:
1. matching atty resistance to voltage
2. squeezing the right amount of juice on to that coil area in the atty(from the bottom; which takes away precision due to not seeing what's what. (better to go with less; you can always add)

I eventually lost interest in b/f's because i couldn't get precise enough on either 1 or 2. ymmv.
Regulated VV's (Provari etc) came out and I spent time perfecting my dripping, learning about atomizers and juices. In the end, now, I can target certain attys with a 3.7 mini; no need for VV or meters.
Unless you want to go through all that it's a good idea to get advice as to what to use with the device (currently the Reo Mini) from those that are having success. duh... of course, I don't want to sound condescending to you or anyone who is newer to the game, but i liken things to Fishing; if you want to catch what the locals are catching, do EVERYTHING they do.

- go with a few different attys to try out; but main thing is try the range of resistance (Ohms) that matches with the mini's voltage (true 3.5 +/-).... from 1.5 to 2.0 (LR range), to see which you prefer. These resistances are tailor made for the Mini's voltage. So if something goes wrong, it's not the equipment, it the user... and that's usually too much juice or not enough. (granted that the battery has enough charge - 4.1 to 3.5 volts.

I'd go with the AW IMR 14500... they are the best for LR attys.

hope this helps.

And the HH.357 fans are rabid, but it's not for everyone, especially a new REO user... The squonk is a little difficult to master on the 357. 306s are the most forgiving for learning to squonk, then going to a bridgeless (a little less forgiving) is a good move, then maybe graduating to the 357.

Just my opinion!

I have figured out the squonking for the most part, but still haven't gotten the feel for when to squonk, so been counting hits to make sure I don't get that nasty dry hit.

I thought I would start a thread with a review comparing Rio Mini w/atomizer and P+ 18350 w/carto-tank. I was using the Rio with a 1.5 ohm bridgeless Cisco atty and the P+ with a 1.5 ohm Smoktech carto and Cartomator tank. I didn't start an entire new thread because that there is little to report, the differences were minimal.

Size and design: both these mods are small, the P+ is actually smaller while the Rio Mini seems smaller due to its shape. The P+ is considerably heavier, but is perhaps the pinnacle of craftsmanship and simplicity in a 3.7 mod. The Rio is also very well made but is a much more complex device.

Flavor and vapor: This is a comparison between a 1.5 Cisco bridgeless atty and a 1.5 Smoktech carto. This is where most claim an advantage to attys. I did not experience this difference. I tested them side by side with a complex juice of caramel, Bavarian creme, chocolate, apple, and EM. The atty tasted a little sweeter, otherwise I perceived no difference. I tend to believe that those who say they taste the filler in cartos are either imagining it or vaping a carto that should have been already thrown away. The P+ had more TH and vapor coming off the charger. The Rio had more TH and vapor when the battery was at or below 3.7v. In both cases the differences were minimal.

Both these systems seem reliable, which in my mind is the most important factor. That is that they work as designed, don't leak, and don't require a bunch of fiddling to operate. The P+/carto-tank is less hassle to vape (virtually idiot-proof) due to not having to squonk. The Rio is easier to refill. Cost to operate is hard to determine; does 1 atty last longer than 7 cartos? Perhaps, but it is necessary to clean the atty to get it to last that long.

As I said there is little to report from my head to head comparison, all differences were minimal. I will probably use the P+ more because I'd rather not have to squonk and I like the smooth lines of the P+ tank combo.

I probably kick off an argument here, but I would like to hear from anyone who as performed a similar side by side comparison with the same juice, same resistance, and similar size battery.

i think i know what you mean about the tank not getting harsh hits vs the b/f Mini, but that is the nature of using an atty vs a carto/tank; and if you are using LR, there's a range between harsher dryer hits and cooler wetter, but it's the mid zone where it's best, and imo that's a little better than the tank; enough so that i prefer to drip or sqonk.
I would rather have an atty that will give that range of harsh to cool just because it gives a better mid zone vape; just right.

before i got my reos i tried different mods with different tanks and tanks were NOT for me at all. i could never get the proper slots or punches and it made my juice taste horrible to me. i also didnt like filling tanks. we all look for the device that fits our life perfectly and for me the reo fits that bill. ive still yet to use a carto on my reos but the wife uses cartos on hers as she is just starting out and learning how to feed it. i fully expect her to stay with cartos for their ease of use.
