This morning trying to vape I wasnt able to get much vape from one of my attys, but the other worked just fine. At first I thought I didnt have enough juice, so once I dripped a couple drops more I flooded the atty.

Although my other atty works just fine, it doesnt seem to get nearly as hot as this atty. this atty seems to turn red hot pretty quickly, but still no vape.

FYI I had just performed a crest soak and rinsed in distilled water prior to using this morning, as well as removed the wicks from the atty.

Any ideas why i get no vape although the atty gets really hot?

I've had a couple 801 atty's do this. I'm not sure why, but it has to be some defect in the manufacturing. I'm guessing it's either not wicking properly, or there's a problem with the coil not putting out enough heat.

I dont think it could be any of those issues, because I drip directly onto the attt, and can visibly see the coil glow red hot very quickly.

Could you elaborate on the bold part?

If you removed the wicks (usually made from fiberglass and sure it might looks like polyfill) from the coil than you actually removed coil's soaking property which cause the coil to be dry and get hot very fast without juice's somewhat cooling effect.

reprime is to in more drops on the bridge of the atty..

Id place 5 -7 drops and see how it vapes.

If nothing Id say you have a bad atty and replace it.

Great! I'll give this a shot.
Why is this necessary? Is this always necessary after cleaning? After adding the 5-7 drops do i need to blow the atty out, or just try to vape? is there anyway of testing how it'll vape w/out having to put the cart on?

yes after cleaning you should always reprime. you dont need to palce the cart back on to test. Just tailpipe it.. lol

Take a hit without the cart placed on the atty. If it vapes then place the cart back on the atty.

Once in awhile you get an atty that does what you are describing.
Ive had one or two do that and could never figure out the reason..

good luck!

I just tried replacing my 801 atty and got almost no vapor except when dripping.
Dripping works fine.

THEN is discovered that the NEW atty had its heating element about 1/8" further down in the tube, so it could not contact the foam where the juice is !

I thought all 801's were supposed to be the same !

Other notes: The "bad" atty has a much flatter top on it. I've read these are better,
but not if they can't reach the juice ! Also, the "bad" atty is stainless, and the original was black plastic. I think I got the "bad" one from Heaven Gifts, but not sure.

I'm going to post this elsewhere if I don't get any help on this thread.

I've tried searching, but that is fairly useless on this forum.

Jacetan, as dumb as this sounds..........try a different juice.
I had THE EXACT same problem for the last few days. I've tried everything with this atty including contacting the disributor where i got it for reccommendations. I was about to send it back for a refund when I decided to put a stronger flavored juice in it to see what would happen and all of a sudden this thing is a smoke stack!!!

I truly do not get it, cause I tried it dry, 1 drop, 2 drops everything all the way up to completely flooding it (juice went everywhere!). The juice i was using works great in other atty's. There must be a variable here I'm not considering, but I don't know what it is.

Worth a shot. Good luck
