And a static one ohm inline resistor is not automatic voltage regulation.
Believe it or not the GLV2 does vary the voltage output - automatically.

, but you are correct that my original description is not a wholly accurate description.
I guess you didn't know any better...mystery solved!

Everybody take a deep breath... Now exhale. Annnnd, group hug!

I applaud everyone's efforts and I'm confident that with such devoted researchers, eventually we'll all understand why the regulated GLV-2 is so awesome.

Until then, I satisfied just knowing that it is!

Sorry Scott, I'm just having some fun messing with the guy. Yes - they GLV2 is awesome, we can all agree on that!

Actually what happened was that I used vocabulary in my original statement that was admittedly too general - and if taken verbatim, incorrect.

I re-considered with new information, recognized it as an error, and amended my statement.

This is very different from what you did, which was make a much larger error, and blindly stuck to it despite new information, and concluded that

the circuit is not responding in accordance with ohm's law.

Do you see the difference? Actually, forget about it....nobody cares.

I was just trying to inject a little levity. Even though I often crack myself up, colleagues often tell me I'm not nearly as funny as I think I am.

I think we all care; discoveries like this (even though I don't really understand it and trying to makes my head spin) could turn the Darwin theory of "Evolv-ing" on its ear. After-all, laws trump theories and you big-brained vapers may have stumbled upon "Jay's Law of GLV-ativity"!

There I go again... *slaps knee*

So....bringing this all back home....this thread was created as a poll to see what atties people are using on their GLV2 "5v". Since I introduced this concept of successfully using LR atomizers on the GLV2...there are now many people that I have talked to using LR atomizers on the GLV2.

How do you change the poll to include other atomizers?

 Scotty, you don't want to "go there" I am a big GLV/Jay fan, notice the color "NebulaGreen"!! But, I also sort of know the guy who wrote a VERY detailed post on Darwin from Evlov! :p

I've used the Darwin a few times at NYC and Long Island meetups. It is extremely impressive, and lots of fun to use. It hits great...it can deliver an amazing punch. If you like vaping at high wattage, this thing really delivers, though it works fine at lower power as well. From my limited experience with it, I'd say that it's a solid PV with amazing technology built into it.

I loves me my GLV2 - but the Darwin simply does things that the GLV2 cannot do. It's a different animal.

That being said, I own a GLV2 and not a Darwin....I would not sell my GLV2 and I have not bought a Darwin, nor do I plan to do so....I'm not so hot on the look and feel of the Darwin, and there are a couple of other technology reasons that I'm not going to go into here (nothing to do with Nhaler, I'm a big fan and a happy customer of Nhaler).

I'm definitely looking forward to other manufacturers incorporating some of the technology in the Darwin into other PVs.

Neb':
Mostly just word-play on theories and laws. Also this thread was starting to remind me of some of the "arguments" about exactly what and how the Darwin does what it does. The innovation sort of took a back-seat to technical details and it became quite entertaining, especially to someone like me who doesn't want to think much deeper than 3.7v vs 5v with LR or SR atties & cartos.

Aesthetics aside, If I was at all interested in a VV PV, I'd certainly buy the Darwin long before the other two popular models.
