Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
Nah, I'm just using the Blu disposable until I wake up all the way and finish my coffee. Then I'll head to Walgreens and then to the Vapor store. They precharge the batteries there so I'll be fine.

What's cool about this whole experience is that I did NOT smoke the single analog cig I still have left and I didn't buy another pack.

No cancer sticks and I was panicking! w00t!

Bring the charger with. We have two dead batteries and one charger going on here. The source of the problem may not be the batteries.

Yeah, that was my plan.

Okay, took back the Blu Starter Pack with no problem and then headed over to the vapor store where they exchanged my battery with another one, different color, though, since they don't have rainbow. Since both my batteries were rainbow, I guess I'm not going to go that route anymore...lol

Sent an email to the online shop I got the other rainbow Spinner to see what they can do about the battery. Since I only ordered it on the 27th and received it a couple of days ago, I'm hoping they'll either switch it out with another or just give me my money back.

Bought a cheapo Kanger EVOD for a backup because I still need something and everything in the store was WAY overpriced.

Got some juice which, while it isn't great, it doesn't suck as bad as what I have, either. All I need to do now is wait for good juice to come in the mail, my check to go through on Friday, and shop around for a quality device that still looks slim and classy for me.

*Whew* Situation handled.

ding ding ding...start looking at a common failure point

Rare for two batteries to go kaput at the same time...

Took the charger. He tested it and the battery and it's fine.

He said the battery got charge but can't DO anything with the charge for some reason.

Uh-oh. That means a "something" tripped the internal protection on the battery. Can it happen spontaneously? Sure. But more likely is a problem device in the mix: A shorted carto, clearo etc. Or running LR devices - things in the 1.8 ohm range or lower. These things aren't designed for abuse - and LR stuff... that's abuse for eGo class batteries.

That all said, did you bring in the device you last used on both batteries for the store to check out? You put a device on one battery and it crapped out. You most likely then moved the same device to the next battery and.. it crapped out. If you don't have a volt/ohm meter you need to isolate that device and not use it until you can test it.

What device are you referring to? I took in the charger and the battery.

This thread has been interesting reading. It has drama, without being overly-dramatic, and it ends well.

The funny thing is, while I was reading the thread, my Vamo did the 'Low V' routine. So I calmly walk over to my battery box and retrieve my backup 18650. Load it and check the voltage...Crap, forgot to charge it. No problem, because I have a backup 18350 and 3 eGos, all fully charged. A special thanks to all on ECF for keeping up the mantra: Backups for your Backups, for your backups!!!

If it's an ego, I've heard that it will reset if you click the button 10 times in succession.... I've never had to do it, but give it a try.

I tried this on the remaining rainbow Spinner. So far it's working. I put it back on the charger and still get the 3 flashes and then 14 flashes thing, but when I put the new Spinner on it, that one did the same thing.

Now I'm REALLY confused.

I'm using the rainbow Spinner right now to see how long it is until I get the low charge flashes again.

Also saw a long 10 second hold down thing...but that may be a "burn" timeout or something

Do you have a multimeter to check if the unit is getting volts out to the center pin?

Nope.

Thing's still working, though. Weird. After I pushed the button 10 times.

Very weird yet possibly very useful information. I'm still testing it. I'll update the thread if anything changes.
