Revisiting this tank months later, my opinion stays the same. Though it isn't in my daily rotation, I still feel as if it is a rock solid beater or driving around running errands tank. My build style has changed slightly to not using kanthal anymore in favor of nichrome or 316l, but the flavor still pops (especially for such a big tank) and still no leaking problems. Once again, well done, Rox.

So I finally got one of these. Nice looking tank! I decided to set this tank up differently than I typically do. I figured with the way the base was constructed, and the air and juice flow coupled, I would set it up following the directions available rather than winging it.

Put in a simple dual coil 316L SS came in at 0.5 ohm, wicked with cotton tucked in well under the coils. Filled it as instructed with the flippy thing before the last turn of the cap, open the air flow and turn right side up and, No Leaks! Open two air holes, run it at 30W 450F, and great flavor and cloud! So far a very impressive tank, and I think it edges out my Crius Plus for favorite big tank. Nice build quality too. Glad I finally got one of these.

GB is slowest of the China bunch for the 40 or so orders I've done with them, typical ship time is 10 days even for "in stock". I've also had very bad luck, 36 of the 40 had missing or broken items. I've had numerous CSR exchanges with them which have taken a month or more between responses typical time is 10 days.

They've NEVER replaced an item or individual part, has always been PayPal interceded resolution or a small credit issued to my account. If it is actually from the US warehouse it has been good experience 3 of the orders were from US. Again not sure if this is all luck, but odds are against that being the case.

When I buy from them it is only because it is dirt cheap, or they are the only one with the item for sale.

Easily my last choice in China vendors.

Original Augvape MERLIN RTA Atomizer
You know, I've never actually ordered from Gearbest. Ever since the couple of Fasttech and 3fvape orders, I just couldn't wait any longer than a week for mah gear. I've heard mixed reviews though.

Here's a question on this tank. Have it built with dual SS simple coils, ~0.5 ohm, and using a 70 VG juice. I run it with 3 holes open which is nice airflow for me. I built it with the 2 mm juice hole deck, figuring the 2.5 mm holes were really for max VG.

Anyway, vaping fine, no leaking, but when using it on TC (30W 450F, nothing demanding) if I "chain vape" I'll get protected temp hits, not hitting temp protect (that's normal), but protected from dry hits. I'll look and my baseline resistance will be up around 0.7 from 0.5 at room temp. Let it sit for several minutes, and all good again.

Now, I'm happy to be protected from a dry hit (yay TC), but my chain vaping isn't all that excessive, and I've never had this happen with any other tank. Yes, I can open up to 4 holes for max juice flow, but I'm not overjoyed with that much air. Should I have used the 2.5 mm juice hole deck, even with only a 70 VG juice?

Only way for a dry hit would be is flow didn't keep up. Maybe I overstuffed the cotton. Maybe it's the smaller juice holes. It's not a big deal as overall function is great, but I never ran into it before (I also tried rotating with several DNA mods to see if it was that, but same reproducible result). I could just switch to power mode and see if in fact I got a dry hit, but given the reproducible nature, the clear change in resistance, and watching it all in eScribe, I've got to accept the chipset is working, and I need to make some minor change to the tank, either/both using the larger fill hole deck and maybe a little less cotton shoved under. Otherwise the tank's a champ.

I top fill, follow the instructions that came with it (close the air holes down leaving 1/2 of one open, fill, screw the top cap back on, invert for the last turn of the cap, then open the air holes and turn right side up again), and have not had any leaking from the air holes at all.

The only time this tank has leaked was when I started unscrewing the bottom instead of turning the airflow ring because I wasn't looking. My bad.

note to my future self the next time I try this method: swab out the drip tip chamber with a q-tip first. thankfully I was wearing shorts so the brown drippings that came out landed on my skin instead of pants......
