note to my future self the next time I try this method: swab out the drip tip chamber with a q-tip first. thankfully I was wearing shorts so the brown drippings that came out landed on my skin instead of pants......
Yewwww[emoji85].....OK i can't resist the eciggity sale so now I need to decide between the Boreas and the Sapor rta. [emoji32]

Are most using the big hole deck or the small one? I'm vaping 65 to 70 pct vg.

i went with the bigger holed deck and am vaping 50 or 60 vg juice and wicking with rayon. no leaks for me, just the occasional condensation build up around the air holes or very rarely a bit of minor weeping around the afc ring top line. i gave that other refill method posted on the last page a try hoping that would eliminate those 2 minor issues but I think I would rather deal with those things than dump my drippings on me again lol

I downgraded to the smaller hole deck a few months ago and have not been experiecing any weeping since; I vape high VG e-liquids. I also made other changes: Vertical coils and wicked it like an Aromamizer. I like to vape with just 2 or 3 AFH open, and I noticed this didn't line up well with horizontal coils.

Reading the eciggity reviews (as they have a sale this weekend...20 pct off). Tempted by this but many claim this leaks through air holes when you refill. Anyone have this happen?

Mine leaks. Not a lot, but enough for me to discontinue it from daily rotation. I have tried wicking every which way, and filling both top and bottom. It still leaks when left unattended, even when I shut down the JFC. It is a great vape though, and if you get one to not leak it would be a great tank. I have been using the cthulhu v3 for the last week, and the Boreas has better flavor, and about the same cloud production. But my Cthulhu does not leak, so I will be using that for now until I find something with as good of flavor as the Boreas with no leaks.

I fill the Boreas this way and it has never leaked or weeped (dual horizontal coils wicked with rayon).
Turn upside down to drain remaining juice then close AFC/JFC. Turn right side up, remove top cap and fill; replace top cap and open AFC/JFC one hole at a time until your vape flow is dialed in.

One tip I read in connection with the Conqueror may work here. After refill leave the juice holes closed, airflow open and then take a hit or two. But in the case of this tank the two are one. So while leaving one half of one air holes open take a couple of hits before opening everything up. If you can't get enough airflow with that maybe open an air hole or two.

Paul!
Which Squonkers?
I was thinking of rabbing a Coppervape mech.
I have 2, and a 3rd on the way, Kanger 160 Drip Box. I have a Catfish LBC DNA 200 squonker, and of course my mechanicals, 2 CC's, 4 Reos, a TMod and 4 Pekos. But I truly love the regulated ones.
