Merlin Mini wicks a bit differently then the Merlin, it does not need as much material. I do big bushy floating wick on the Merlin, Mini seems to prefer less, and in the cup wicking.

As for coil size, my suggestion is if you run the airflow pretty tight try a 2.5 mm, if your more open on the airflow run a 3, or even 3.5, I run my airflow wide open, and get noticeably better flavor with a 3mm over 2.5 mm, 3.5 changed the flavor slightly, and depending on juice can be better. The 3.5 seems to bring a little brighter flavor to fruits, but suffers slightly with bakery/desserts. I've run a 2.5 in mine, and with open airflow it did not produce flavor as well as the larger, but with a tighter airflow it did much better.

Since I like open air I stick with a 3mm most of the time, and is probably the most versatile build for me.
That makes sense.I am a lung hitter and prefer more airflow.

I'm excited.

My Mini should be arriving tomorrow. I haven't used an rta in awhile since I didn't have great luck with the Aromamizer (dry hits)

Griffin 25 worked okay for awhile, but wicking was a little to cumbersome to get JUST right, and it disappeared into my house somewhere.

I bought a Noisy Cricket II on sale and haven't had anything to use on it since I've been squonking with a Hadaly and Dripbox 160.

I'm hoping this gives me a reason to use the NC-II.

Anyone trying this with a single coil deck on a mechanical mod or something direct current regulated mod such as iJust S? I'm waiting for my merlin mini and thinking of what kind build would be nice on my iJust S. This mod doesn't have wattage adjustment but applys the voltage left in the battery so I'm wondering what I can do with a single coil deck. I've been using dual coil deck recently and no idea how the single coil build behaves so if u can leave some inputs for me it would be nice. Thank you in advance

Because that is a internal battery on that device I would recommend a single wire build around 0.50ohms to 0.30ohms. If you go any lower your battery life will suffer greatly and if you go any higher the vape quality will be kinda bland. In my Monster V3 tank I am running a 0.50ohm 24g build right now and am using it on a mechanical with 18500's and 18350's and the vape is really nice. I get decent battery life and it is not hard on my cells. A large wire build like a clapton would not work well on that device either. The battery life would suffer for sure that way too. And you cannot swap the battery out on that one so conserving power is important I think.

Received mine this morning for Xmas. Just got a SS 1ohm 3mm coil in, 2mm airflow pin, 23W...vaping superb.

Flavour is on par with the kayfun mini v3, airflow is better and easier to fill, smaller in height. Looks great on the vapedroid.

I have never enjoyed the cheaper attys, they always seem to lack something. This thing is superb though. Very happy!

Just coiled mine up and on 2nd tank. I didd a single coil with a 2 strands twisted, 26 A1, on a 3mm shaft, 0.24. 36-40w on a curve setting. Wicking perfectly. Flavor is great. I wicked it like MMW showed above (just logical looking at how the deck is set up). Big and fluffy. About halfway into the cup at most. Really nice flavor, but would expect nothing less. Great Xmas morning vape!

I'm enjoying mine as well but even with the most restrictive insert I don't see how people can say its mouth to lung. More like very restricted lung hit

Yeah it is a bit loose. Flavour is just popping for me though. Only really vaped one juice for 3 years, and it's never tasted this good. I'm very impressed so far. Its clean, crisp and dense. Filling is a dream with this one. Funny how the lower end is starting to overtake the high end now!

So far I am loving it. This Raw edition has got a really cool look to it...almost like a slab of raw SS with a dull/brushed look. It will "patina" with use and take on some interesting characteristics I think.

The touch screen takes some getting used to...it is touch sensitive by zones and when I first started using it I would swipe and not get to where I was wanting to go...then realized you swipe, then touch the watts numerals to get to the up or down controls, swipe and touch the word "Power" and you get to the settings menu for Power, TC etc. Once I got that figured out, I find the touch screen really great. Course, I could have read the manual first huh?!

Fires up fast and battery life seems better than my Fuchai 213. Feels very good in the hand. So yeah, I am digging it!
