Are you talking about the Merlin Mini or the Merlin? I thought you meant the Merlin cos that's what you typed. Oops, my bad, I don't have the Mini in black.

I wouldn't put any painted objects in my ultrasonic cleaner, they can be very aggressive. Learned that with a cheaper tank, the paint came off in large pieces.
