This is not meant to be a review of All About Vapor, but a call for more entrepreneurs to get a shop open in Austin. Did I miss something, or is All About Vapor the only juice maker within 20 minutes of Austin?

Not to sound like a fan-boy (for AAV) but they are opening a south Austin location in the near future. Can follow them on FB for updates.:)

Why are there a handful of popular tobacco hooka bars in Austin, but if I try to vape at an actual bar or club, I get kicked to the curb with the analog smokers? Seriously, central/downtown Austin needs a real e-cig shop, with custom made e-liquids. There has to be some DIY juice makers in Austin, I have a vape dream of somebody opening a shop inside Austin. It's the "music capitol", SXSW and ACL bring tons of tourists to town and all we do is smoke tons of cigarettes, even with the "smoking ban". Austin is one of those "healthy" cities (just ignore the terrible rush hour traffic), joggers, runners, and cyclists all over the place. However, bars and clubs downtown all have to have an outdoor smoking section to really bring the crowds in. This is a perfect recipe for an Austinite vapor entrepreneur to make some money while informing the public and saving some lives. Get on it people, you know who you are. For now, we will just have to go to the far end of the suburbs, or buy online...

AAV obviously has many fans, but I just don't care for their juices. It's just a personal taste preference thing, I totally support what they are doing. I do hope they can find a more visually pleasing location in south Austin than they have in north Round Rock. The far corner of an old strip center almost turned me away before I got across the parking lot, not to mention it was hard to find considering the number of people going through there. Must be a local word of mouth business, their equipment prices can be easily beat by many ECF forum suppliers. Again, e-liquid flavors are totally subjective, gotta taste a few peoples flavors before choosing a fave, i.e. if you marry your first date, you won't have anything to compare it to. I get my e-liquids exclusively from M&P now, and if a B&M in Austin can beat any of their flavors, I would then have two vendors to chose from!

There are actually 2 storefront vendors here in Round Rock (just north of Austin). There's All About Vapor, as mentioned above and LiquidXpress. AAV has more flavor options but I think LiquidXpress' juices are much better. Both sell ecigs & accessories.

I agree. I can't get enough of their Cool Rush menthol. The last 2 times I went there Rob keeps saying 'your co-worker just got my last 2 30ml bottles' so I keep getting the sample sizes...then I get to work and my co-worker says 'hmmm guess what I got?'.

Central Texas Vape Meet (March 30th) in Austin/Pflugerville. :vapor:

Central Texas Vapors Meet Up March 30th 2013 | Facebook

Sounds great, but I don't think I can make that place and date, plus I'm over an hour S/W from there. I live out in the the sticks because I can't even afford to live near a suburb. I would ask that somebody get a conversation going about the fantastic potential of opening a B&M in central Austin, but it seems like the Round Rock area has all the vapor clout. What's the deal with that? I know that AAV is planning on a South Austin location soon, and that's truly fantastic. There's too many people that have no idea what vaping is, and too many cigarette smokers with no idea of any option out, apart from mass produced cigalikes that have been on a shelf for who knows how long. I am all for it, but it still seems like a local juice monopoly, in a way- if you want local juice go way North or go without. Please plant some conversational seeds for me when you meet up?

Thanks for the post! Been meaning to go to one of these.

RE: AAV, I like them enough. And they have a few juices we keep coming back for. And agreed it would be nice if more places opened up around Austin, just for some variety.

I promise to do my best to make the next meet, hopefully I will be a DIY juice maker by then and can actually contribute something. Imagine a vape tasting, like the beer home-brewers have been doing for a while now. Please advocate for vapors like me?

Ciggy Shack in South Austin is an awesome vapor shop for those looking for somewhere to get liquids and genuine joyetech equipment south of the river. (not knock off batteries like other stores around town) Earlier this week I picked up a Kanger PROTANK and it's awesome! I also have to recommend the 'Boba's Juice' to everyone - it's my favorite vape flavor of all time now! Another thing that rocks is that you don't stand around waiting for someone to mix your juice, and hope it's the right blend/recipe. In fact, it's already been made and has been steeping for days. For all of us vapers south of the river, this is the one stop shop!

Create A Cig is absolutely awesome! I just recently made the mistake of getting a Blu system which burned every cartridge and couldn't get a refund. I found out about createacig.com through a friend who got a kit there and drove up as soon as I could from Lago Vista. Their customer service is out of this world and is a perfect place for beginners. I ended up getting the 900mah 3.7v battery to use with Cisco atomizers for home use and got the rebuildable kit. They mix their liquids right there for you which are very, very tasty. They have a good selection of items even stuff for mods. Their prices are very good, 6.99 for 10ml 14.99 for 30ml. I got their Cali Fruit and Pina Colada which I am vaping right now. Again very, very tasty. I just like being able to drive to my store and pick up what I need especially with good customer service. They have a ton of flavors including their house flavors, tobaccos, drinks, very wide fruit selection that you can mix. You can have them mix something up for you and try it out to see how you like it before you buy. I can't stress how great my shopping experience was. If you are in Austin I highly recommend Create A Cig. Plus 15% off my kit made the prices very comparable to other online shops. I joined this website just to share my shopping experience with them. Give them a shot you will be VERY pleased with their service and juices.

(not fake knock-off batteries like other stores around town - SmokeATX & CreateACig) Look for the joyetech logo on the bottom of your battery if you're wondering what equip you've been sold. My friend was sold a knock off starter kit at Create A Cig recently.

I also have to recommend their 'Boba's Juice' to everyone - it's the all day vape flavor you've been looking for. I have to agree I didn't realize being a nooby about the batteries from CreateACig but it is still ten times better than Blu. Also typically in electronics they use the same batteries and parts as one another (example of an electronic samsung tablets and google nexus tablets which use Samsung internal parts for a fraction of the cost). It's not just a defense but in all reality they probably use the same exact battery and the only difference may be the circuit board which there may be a very slight advantage considering it is just a regular non-variable system running around 3.4v. But I am going to check out Ciggy Shack next time I need some juice. Where is it in South Austin? I already stepped up from the Create A Cig kit, went to Avid Vaper got myself a Joyetech eGo twist and a couple of Cisco LR 306 atomizers. One thing I noticed about these local shops they really do sell average atomizers. I'm assuming they have Joyetech atomizers as well? Other than joye products do they have anything more advanced such as mods, batteries, pyrex tanks? Also can you try out your liquids before you buy? That's the biggest thing for me, granted they are pre-mixed but trying it out is worth letting it steep :p. Just buy it before you run out that's all.

I retract my previous statements for Create a Cig. This place is a complete ripoff that sells knock-off batteries at a 400% markup. A single battery kit costs more than a dual battery kit from most reputable vendors. Plus they sell Vamo's there for $100 WITHOUT any batteries, they come separately. They sell 900mah standard eGo generic passthrough batteries for $24.99 that's as expensive as a 1000mAh Joyetech eGo-Twist! They sell Stardust or CE4 atomizers for $8.49 where DiscountVapers.com sell them for $3.99 AltSmoke.com for $4.99 and various other website between $3-$5 and they are not a generic knockoff. Any new vapers should really avoid this place because they are crooks. Even if they had the most amazing and knowledgeable customer service (they told me I could use a Cisco 306 1.5ohm atomizer on a standard eGo battery which we know kills the battery, and they said you can use it because it is 900mah... what?) it is still not worth their insane retail store markups. The equipment they sell is the same stuff you can purchase at FastTech.com for a fraction of the cost. Their designer batteries are identical to the ones they sell at Fast Tech and they cost $27.99 instead of $6.50. Check out the forum suppliers list to find a trusted reputable vendor that will not steal your money. Do not support CreateACig.com as they are as crooked as they come, Value Vapor is ten times the merchant they are and are located in Austin. In addition ValueVapor.com has much better liquid than Create a Cig at least in my experience (I really like FlavorZ by Joe for when I can't get an order from Heather's Heavenly Vapors or Vape Dudes in time).
