I've had the Merlin MTL for a while now, and its a no go for me. IMHO it is NOT a MtL tank. It is a good restricted DL, but not a real MTL. Also, every time I used it, it would weep. After a tank full there would be a ring of droplets around the base of the tank and it seemed to always be sticky. Cleaned it, and put it back in the box. Got it cheap, so at least it was a cheap mistake for me. BTW, I used the smallest insert.
I was intending on using it as a dtl tank. I really like it so far. I haven’t noticed any weeping but have only been using it at home so far.
This might sound stupid but could someone explain the operation of the juice flow control on this rta? I just don’t understand why there are four openings.
What do you mean?You mean the side airflow?You can adjust them with the grub screws…This is a great restricted dl tank,I retired all my SMM tanks due to too much airflow and muted flavour.
There is no jfc. And like all other top fill rta's with no jfc, wether or not it will leak when filling depends on how much wick you stuff in the channels. The way I wick mine it will leak as soon as I open the top cap, so I've resorted to bottom filling through the juice holes.
Ok, inside the tank on the bottom of the chamber, there are four rectangular slots. When the tank is tightened on a mod, I can turn the tank to somewhat close or open those slots.
Yes I’m sure. Both of them say Merlin Mtl on the top cap. Here’s a pic from their website. What are the slots called on the chamber?
I think I might have found out what is going on. After watching a video I think I might not have tightened my top and bottom together tight enough which is allowing the tank to unscrew from the base.
