I haven't been on ECC in a very long time, i used to post a lot, i also have an instagram with some pretty good builds, FictitiousFreedom. The last high end piece of gear i purchased was an authentic Velocity rda and i love it, ive been on the two post bandwagon from the get go. I own an Atomic Rda, my first rda, hate it, A 454 big block, a Petri, a Kennedy centered airflow, a kayfun V4 which doesnt work anymore, and my velocity. Ive been waiting for an rta to be designed for my style of vaping, i mainly use 40awg and 26awg n80 fused claptons. There has been a huge surge of 2 post RTAs but they are all in the lower quality price range, which i work in the industry so i get my hands on a lot of stuff and know the quality of lower priced gear and so i only buy high end stuff every 6 months or so instead of lots of cheaper stuff And then the high end stuff will 75% of the time last forever and be amazing.

Well i just compulsively bought the Ravens Moon RTA/Rda, which was just released but hopefully once someone receives it they can tell me that i did not make a mistake. I havnt bought a good topper in a long time so im hoping this is as amazing as it seems and worth the money. I doubt anything is worth what i just paid for it but if it is as good as it seems its worth it to me. I just wanted to start a thread dedicated to the Authentic Ravens Moon RTA so when people start recieving them well have a place to post build pics and whatnot.

Thanks.

Yeah like I said compulsive lol. I'm expecting rainbows to shoot down my throat, so I'd say my expectations are reasonable considering the price. The worst thing is I've already learned this lesson, close to a year ago or so I bought a kayfun 4 and a vapor flask Dna 40 in the same month, both of those products don't work. The VF I had sent back a few times and got fedup and the kayfun was great but the over engineering ultimately failed me, hopefully this will be a different story.

It shipped yesterday so probably like tuesday or Wednesday. I was going to wait to see if someone would review it before I bought mine but if a big reviewer reviews it and says it is amazing it will sell out fast, and they're only making 500.

But I will post my first impressions on here and my IG as soon as I use it for a few hours, I've been building and vaping for a little over 4 years and have owned lots of high end gear and even made it my profession so I have a lot of experience and can usually tell if something is good or not. I also don't get super excited just because something is new and shiny anymore so I'll be honest about it and my expectations are extremely high. My only concern is the top fill, because of the juice flow design and also how the gold plated deck will effect flavor, I honestly would have probably preferred SS.

Saying that, we all know this stuff is extremely subjective. I vape .25 ohm fused claptons with 40g and 26g almost exclusively. I also use the same build but with 316l SS 26g for the core with my Wizmec for SS TP. I've done most of the more advanced Clapton variations but found that one to be my favorite.
My favorite build deck is my velocity, my favorite rda for flavor or TP is my Kennedy with the single centered airflow. I also have found that for some reason the best flavor I've ever experienced is with a high end rta and TP. The Ravens moon RTA seems to incorporate all of those and seems perfect for me. So we shall see, I have a set of fused claptons in N80 and SS sitting here ready to go!

I will be waiting to hear what you think about it. And if you would be so kind to take a pic or two of how the tank is set up. It would be neat if the tank section was all one machined piece that housed the chimney pipe, chimney base and juice channels. Their mechanical mods and drippers are top notch and machined very well so I assume this will be a great atty for sure.

Ok, just first impressions, i left work to go home and pick it up as soon as it arrived. First thing is the build deck is really small, which is good and bad, i have noticed that with a reduced chamber i get better flavor. I couldnt use my normal 8 wrap, 3.5 mm ID, fused clapton, i had to use a 7 wrap around a 3mm instead. Not a big deal. Second, the wicking is much different than anything i have ever used. It took me forever to figure out the best way to wick it, and even now it could be better. Someone who is less experienced would have real trouble figuring it out. Once i got everything working perfectly I put the 7ml tank on and top filled it, i have to say now that its working well, it is the smoothest vape ive experienced, without a doubt. The flavor is on par with my Keneddy if not better, i need to clean everything cause there is a slight machine oil taste. It is exactly how you would expect a dripper/tank to work. The 4ml tank i assume would be even more like a dripper. I love the fact that it has a 7ml tank and its probably going to be what i use the most. It really is smooth, like extremely smooth. Using it as a dripper is great too, The bottom airflow doesnt leak as bad as a lot of bottom airflows do and the combination of bottom airflow, reduced chamber, and velocity deck make it amazing. Im getting some of the best flavor ive gotten from a dripper, its worth mentioning that it is really hot because of the reduced chamber. I will do a more intricate review with more pictures really soon. probably tomorrow morning. So far though its pretty wonderul, the learning curve is really steep but its worth it. Also the presentation is the best ive seen but it should be for the price. Sorry im doing this in a hurry.

Bit disappointing to have machine oil on something of this price. However, it seems you get a lot for your money and that presentation box is just gorgeous!! Sounds like a nice vape. Keep us posted!!!!

It is really barely any machine oil, most probably wouldn't have mentioned it, its possible its a placebo thing too because i have never had any of my high end tops come without a slight machine taste. I'm going to work on a new build today for it. I did one last night and i need to redo the wicking because it is leaking through the airflow but there are so many ways to fix this, between the juice flow ring and me probably just needing to wick it better, i should be able to get it perfect. I used the dripper last night again as well and damn, its probably the best thing about this. I hope for the sake of other people out there that they release just the dripper without the gold plating and whatnot so people can afford it.

Im going to just keep doing this in pieces because itll be easier for me. One thing ive found that is a small annoyance is that the tank mode is a bit leaky, it can definitely be done where it doesn't leak, i just need to get the right amount of juice flow and the wicking perfect. Not a big deal. The annoyance is that once you've wicked and have everything set up, atleast on mine, you cant change the juice flow. the tolerance is so tight that to adjust the juice flow you have to take the wick out and unscrew the chimney part off to adjust it. Once i know exactly how much to use it wont be a problem but constantly rewicking to get it right is for sure a con, now maybe the tolerance on mine is tighter than some of the other ones, i dont know. I should also say its not pouring out but it is leaky, im sure ill get it right soon though and that wont be an issue anymore.

I had the concern about top fill without closing the juice flow being a problem. The first time i top filled it flooded and poured out everywhere. The second time i realized what the little black balls in the airflow were for. Usually the approach to top fill has been either to over engineer or under engineer. This tops top fill is the smartest i have seen, its one of those duh type of ideas. the little balls seal the airflow air tight to create the seal, you'll see in the pictures.

The dripper is still the best dripper i have used. The way the airflow and juice well is makes it amazing for a bottom airflow rda that doesn't leak like crazy. The combination of great bottom airflow, reduced chamber, and velocity deck makes it amazing, like i said earlier they need to make a more affordable rda only version of this cause its incredible!

Not a problem man, i enjoy it lol I wick it similar to how he does in the video i just do it without using wire to fish it through. what id prefer to do is to wick it like most tanks by just tucking it down in front of the wick holes but because the top of the chimney doesn't come off and the chamber is so small idk if its possible. I've gotten it working really well its just a little leaky, i know once i find the perfect amount of juice flow and wick it wont leak because my first build i had the wick super tight and it worked without leaking, it just had that cotton taste for like 30 mins and was on the dryer side, which i was trying to avoid, i like a dense juicy vape, which honestly im getting one of the densest most flavorful vapes ive experienced with this.

I know anyone who has been vaping for a long time and used a lot of products knows that when you get to this level of high end stuff the differences in flavor and density are very slight, and i know myself included get tired of hearing how amazing things are and how much better things are when they are new. If someone spends this kind of money on something they are going to be bias because they want it to be good so bad to justify the money they spent. So when i say this is the most flavorful and densest vape i have experienced remember that the differences compared to my Kennedy and Velocity are slight but what i like about it is that it is everything i like about all of my favorite toppers all in one. Also, the differences are slight but not as slight as most.

I have to say that the tank part has been a PITA but worth it once its figured out.

I rewicked and set it up this morning with the juice flow about half open and got the wick set up really well and it hasn't leaked a drop, and now that i have it figured out i shouldn't have any issues at all. I will say that the flavor really is amazing in both the tank and dripper, possibly the best ive experienced. This is still early on but i would say if you have the money to spend on a great topper this is perfect for people who like low res clapton builds with dense flavorful vapor.

I dont think your supposed to really change the juice flow on the fly, idk if its supposed to come off easier than mine does, but mine is really tight so i have to take it completely off to adjust it, which now that i have it set up right it works perfectly. I cant get a link to work, so all you have to do is search Ravens Moon Vapor on facebook and the video is on the left side of their page.
