maybe the cartos you are using are not good for the batteries you have. i tried some boges and smok teks, and found the smoke teks to be better. with the carto out of the tank, you should have a very light airy draw since you are pulling air from the bottom as well as the juice hole on the side.

its a 2.5 ohm standard.. I am using my ego 1300mah batteries.. light. airy draw, my %*^

like I said, its like trying to pull a watermelon thru a tiny straw..

but if you think I might have the wrong batteries.. wonder what type I could try it on.. might save it for a 6mo or 1 yr surprise.. dunno, but guess it will make a good paper weight atm..

i mean it should be a light draw with the carto not in the tank. and by the wrong battery, i mean that the 3.7v ego may not have the oomph to push a dual coil carto. i have a 2.0ohm dual coil cart and i tried it on my ego, and a ego spinner up to 4.8v, and neither one seemed to have the power to heat the coils up properly. at 5v, it worked good, but the vape was very warm.

FWIW, i use a 1.7ohm single coil carto on my ego's and a 2.0 ohm single coil on my ego spinner. actually, i use everything on the spinner, because i can just turn it up or down. but i pretty much stay in the 1.7ohm range with my cartos, and have no trouble with them on my ego batteries.

with that said, even the 1.7ohm cartos meter out to 1.82-1.96 ohms on my meter, so advertised resistance isnt always accurate.

I think youd be fine if you got some legitimate smoktech or boge cartos, rather than using the fasttech cartos. I wouldnt trust any head from there unless its one you can rebuild yourself. The draw is entirely dependent on the carto. I was getting a lighter vape from my carto tank at first but its on par with my other stuff now that ive really figured it out. Definitely have to make sure the cotton is nice and saturated

I use these

Im not sure its the right length for the X8 but im sure others would know

are you sure that the tank is glass?? if so, im getting one now. i heard that they were not glass, thats why i ask.

Just got this yesterday and attempted to play with it last night.
Maybe I am not doing it right, not sure..

here is the link to it:

$7.47 Authentic X8 2.5ml Electronic Cigarette Atomizer at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

amazingly, it has a glass tank.. so when I took it out the packaging, I was like wow!!

I managed to get.. well check my pix.. but I did get some juice in.. let it soak for a bit..

I go to take a vape.. the draw is so stiff.

I can taste my juice, no problem there, but no vapor on exhale..

I am sitting here, wondering what am I not doing, as I am sure this is a sweet lil tank.. :p

hmm **grabs my hallo chocolate coffee and vapes and waits for help..View attachment 219432View attachment 219433View attachment 219434

*note.. it's sitting on my twist right now, but I did have it on my ego 1300mah.. if that helps..

[EDIT]
by better, i found that the filler in the smokteks was not quite as dense as the boges, so they juice soaked in a little easier.in the long run, the denser filler of the boges might be beneficial, but i am not sure. been happy with the ST cartos ( for tanks and the ego megas(really love these ones)) so until i find something i like better, ill stick with them.

this si what i think the issue is. i think the carto is too high of an ohm for her batt. try a lower ohm carto, or try a more powerful battery.
however, the cato does sound clogged, but the tank should be fine.
another possible issue could be screwign the tank too far onto the battery. some batteires will cut off air flow completely when this is done.

I wonder if I use my dripper carto on this, if it would work better.

and who said they had one and it worked?? lemme scroll back up.. Ima stalk them!!!!

Me.. I'm using 2 right now, wife has one on also. No Issues. One of my tanks has 100%VG in it (on a KeCig K100), and I think it's one of my best vapes. The other has 60/40 (on the X6) and also vapes like a champ also.. Wife has 60/40 in hers also (since I have to fix all her stuff LOL)

Prime the carto, I normally use needled bottles, insert the tip in the the contact end of the carto and give 2 each 1 second squirts, then put a ring of juice into the top of the carto to make sure it's soaked. I them gently blow into the top of the carto to remove excess juice.
Next I insert the carto into to the tank, insuring the bottom of the carto (after the connection part) is just past flush with the tank and use the screw to secure it. Next, Using the needled bottle again, slowly fill completely using the fill hole (if you do this fast, you will flood the carto and have juice backing out the fill hole...) Then, I take the needled bottle, squeeze the air out and put it into the carto filler to take out any excess juice, put the screw in, put the drip tip on, screw it on a battery and take a few draws without power.. Then vape away

Can you send a link with something lower ohm?? Would appreciate it.. Might give it a try..

yeps sounds like what I did from the get go. I hope, with me chasing vape like this.. it will be worth it.

Sad thing, tho. It should have worked right, straight from the box. It did not. :/

Ive got one from FT and it works perfectly (after i ditched the included carto). Mine has a (very thick) plastic tank.
A little tip; when buying cartotanks at stupidly inexpensive prices always be prepared to throw away the included carto, they are without fail awful.
And the bottom screw is for securing the tank onto the carto, it would be physically impossible for it to provide any 'air flow' !
I would definitely recommend these as a cheap tank. :)

yeps got that figured out.. thing is.. which carto to put on it?? and totally sad by this. I really wanted to be impressed.. sticking to my dripping until then. least I know I won't have to stuck a watermelon thru a straw when dripping.. :/
