Manual for everything except driving and playing musical instruments. Even then, I can wear a batt out pretty quick. Manuals make me think about each puff and seem to make the charge last longer because of it.
Auto or manual battery?

The convenience of an auto is great if you just wanna hang the thing from your lip while you're typing or gaming, but I'm partial to the manual since the autos have a cutoff...
I am not sure if it has been said here before or not, so I apologize if I am repeating. But, I wanted to say the auto cut-off many have mentioned can be overridden if you just stop drawing for a second and then start again. I favor the really long 7 second drags, so I had to learn how to get around that on the first set of auto batteries I ordered.
why fight? with the prices... why not both?
I started with Auto... very nice, more close like a cigarette... but manuals can get longer for drags... so I didn't settle for one or the other... I use a USB PT for when I'm in front my PC, I use my autos when walking in the street and manuals when I need the longer drags...
It depend on the nic you're using, when I'm using high, autos are fine, for low or no-nic, manuals are a must unless I require mi two hands for whatever I'm doing... so... get both and you'll be a happy camper... problem, later you'll want more and more...

I just got a manual after using auto for a few months. Ilike it, but it sure seems to run out of charge much faster. I use the V4L products. I don't know if I just got a bad one, or do they just not last as long? I used to get 3-4 hours of vaping off the auto, I'm lucky if I get one off these.
They should last at least as long, slightly longer if you do primer puffs, actually. Of course, that is assuming that you don't keep the button pressed unnecessarily, but to me that sounds like a bad battery.
I prefer the auto but make sure to have a manual for when I go to concerts otherwise the bass lights up the auto batteries.
I have tried both and I like the manual better than the auto. It seems to me that the manual gives out stable vapor levels with each puff while the auto is variable, but that could be because I started with a crappy auto to begin with.
I'm a newbie to vaping but chose auto for my first. I'm not needing longer drags and it's hard enough to remember to hold my PV so I don't cover that little hole. I'm not an uncoordinated person but the habitual way of holding an analog is hard to break! I can only imagine having to depress a manual button too. lol
I held my analogs half the time very similarly to how I hold my PV now, so all I had to remember is pushing one finger down a few millimetres.

I prefer the auto,, The new v4l batteries have something like a 13 second cut off. Thats more then enough for me .
