Hey all, got my third order today, and other than 25ml missing (emailed them), it all seems ok apart from a battery.

I noticed one of the auto shorty's require me to draw very hard for it to work, which I can only keep up for very short time before the light then goes off so I basically get no vapor, I think there might be too much air flow as when i put the battery straight in my mouth to make a seal, very little effort is needed to make it work.

Is this common with these and does it just need breaking in, or is it defective? Have tried putting it in my mouth and sucking/blowing quite hard to loosen it up, still not changed. Do I need to plug one of the holes with something?

Thanks

My advice is to do a quick troubleshoot. I find that a hard draw on a shortie auto is directly related to dirty threads.

Take an old toothbrush and some rubbing alchol and scrub the heck out of it for a bout 30 seconds, then have another go at it.

that works or buy some manual batteries

Totally the opposite of my problem  though reading my post again it could be seen that way. New battery, too much airflow very easy draw, but maybe after some use and it getting a bit dirty it may work better.

Thanks voltaire for the suggestion, will give it a try, won't look nice at all though.

I have (had) the same problem. What's more, using the premium cartos is even more difficult. I inhale nothing but air and the light doesn't even come on. So, I have 2 proposals.

1) cut a ring of silicone/rubber off one of the condoms. Slide this ring down around the batterty/carto joint and cover (part of) the seam. This will restrict airflow and may help. You will have to tinker around with the placement to get it just right, but I found it to work for me.

2) Go manual. It has already been said, but it bears repeating. I actually would prefer an auto battery - but they are simply not as functional.

Yeah, as stated above, if theres too much airflow:

Yeah tooth pick. I also got an auto shorty that had 4 big hole and 2 of them right next to eachother. I took some plumbing tape. For sealing thread so whatdoes break through pipes. I taped aroun all the holes a little more then half way and it works great. This way you dont sacrifice looks of the VK if thats what concerns you with the condom method. Ive also noticed not all the premiums work this way as some of them work better with this battery. Another super quick way is to just hold the PV at the seem of the batt and carto hold two fingers over two holes. See if that works. Also if the seem isnt tight it could be a bad carto as well.

Maybe i'll do a vid.
