In the attached photo there is a comparison on the macroscopic aspect of the wick of Cisco atomizers and Ava after a period of utilization: as illustrated, the fiberglass wick of a used Cisco atomizer is black or brown (white if unused); white that of the Ava atomizer.
All atomizers have been used with VG liquid, 18 mg nicotine, without flavorings, with a box mod bottom feeder (Red Sky mod Cruiser of @Capt' Brian). Those with low resistance was used at 3.7 volts, while those with high resistance at 6 volts (two Tenergy LiFePO4). Fiberglass of unused Cisco atomizer appears white, while becomes brown or black after 2 weeks of very intensive use (to make more visible the wick, the atomizer in the lower right of the photo was disassembled). Cisco atomizers were washed in an ultrasound machine (two cycles of 3 minutes), while Ava atomizer was only rinsed under running water. Hope this is useful
