Hello, I am helping my mother research this stuff and have some questions.

She originally bought from njoy(aka smoke51?), from a mall in Tampa, Fl. There were many problems with the device and then issues returning it. We had my sister communicate with them as our attorney, about to take legal action. We (somewhat) settled with that company and will no longer do business with them. I do not recommend them. If people have had great success with them, and I am wrong, please correct me, and I will stand as such, recognizing our case to be an exception.

We have since joined this forum, searching for reliable companies. There appear to be many, so many. I have considered becoming a distributor myself(half joke). We have (had?) decided to settle with PureSmoker. Well, what we desired was out of stock. And many things we did not desire, also out of stock--I checked, just for kicks.

Figuring that most companies get their supplies from a few main factories in China, we tried other sites with favorable reviews. Again, same stocking issues, confirming that the distributors are receiving from a few select manufacturers in China.

I have sifted through these forums and realize many of you are quite knowledgeable; forgive me for stating things you already may know, or, for being mistaken about the whole process and, subsequently, wrong.

We had signed up for a desire list at PureSmoker, got an email about an item being in, but, as we wanted the free shipping(for orders over $99)we wanted to wait until the other starter pack was in stock. By the time that one arrived, the other was again out of stock. Now, nearly everything is out of stock.

So, my question boils down to this. How can we join the revolution? It is nearly impossible to order what we want; and we'd rather not settle for devices just because they are available when they are not the ones we would like.

Note, we prefer not to order from the sites in China (the ones with favorable reviews, obviously) for our first purchase, as we'd like our original purchase to be within the US because of the warranties and possibly having to ship back and forth. Maybe that is a moot point, but with our experience, it seems imperative to be able to effectively communicate and return/restock on items. Regardless of our experience, I believe this to be a responsible way to go.

I probably have not stated anything new and am just experiencing what the rest of you have experienced. Nonetheless, maybe I'll get some value feedback. Indeed, we are newbies ;)

Thank you for your attention

Right now there are supply problems with the distributors due to some harsh action on the FDA's part. They are blocking a bunch of large shipments and PureSmoker is one of the distributors that got caught in it.

I understand your desire to be practical with the shipping but that might be difficult to accomplish at this time. The reality is you will likely have to place a few different orders to get everything you want. I currently have orders outstanding with 4 different vendors just to get a couple of starter kits, empty carts, extra batteries and atomizers and juice.

I would suggest you use the list of distributors at the bottom of the forum and read through the subforum for them to decide how reputable you think they are. I have used a good few of the ones on this site and have not had any problems yet.

You really picked a a difficult time to start vaping. There is concern by suppliers and forum members that the FDA may try to ban these devices in the near future. Stock levels are virtually non-existant. Those of us who order direct from China have concerns that our products may be confiscated or returned. Until the dust settles over the next few weeks (?), it may be nearly impossible for you to find any product or smoking juice.

About all you can do is go through the supplier list on the homepage of this forum and visit each website to see if there are any starter kits available. Good luck.

Device & liquid options in US: (of course I don't know what device you want)

e-Smokey Treats - Electronic Cigarette's, The healthy alternative to traditional tobacco cigarette's
MyVaporStore.com

Device option supplier that has a big following and is in the UK not China:

- The ScrewDriver - An electronic cigarette that simply works

Another US device option supplier that is small but well supported:

Zi Moshi Home

Liquid only supplier:

LiquidXpress Hompage

Good luck
Esmokey treats has pretty high prices at $80 for a starter kit. I don't think many people that are well versed in this forum pay more than $60 when buying online.

Myvaporstore is great but the only thing they have in stock is silver 901's.

LiquidXpress seems a bit expensive in comparison to a site like JuicyLiquids.

The two manual devices are both very far on the expensive side but lack of competition and the willingness of a fool and his money to be parted insures it will probably stay that way for a while plus a buyer will have to wait as neither of them seems to be readily available with stock.

Truly is a bad time to start up. A few suppliers have some models in stock, I ordered a Janty Dura c myself friday. I also ordered some 36 juice from another vendor. I just went through the list untill I found what I wanted, well at least what I could live with until after tuesday. Right now you will have to take what you can find with respect to price and warranty.

I think that suppliers have made mistakes when ordering by getting hardware and juices together. I don't beleive that the FDA, ATF or customs has any authority to stop hardware shipments, nicitine on the other hand is considered hazardous. While the FDA does not currently control nicotine as a substance, it may have the authority provided it can be labeled as a drug(which it mistakenly thinks it can show legal pecidence). It is therefore stopping but not confiscating the materials to suppliers at this time.

N-Joy is not really a bad company, you would be hard pressed to purchase the same supplies at the same cost with a year warranty. They have also been responsible for getting them to the masses and appear to have the best quality of the available supply in actual locations, while still being cheaper then the other Mall rats.

THAT'S the truth. Same with me. I don't want to place tiny orders with different sites. Too many shipping charges.

Yeah, I probably got hit with around $20 worth of extra shipping charges but since I had to 'micro order' everything I made it a point to be sure to get the cheapest prices I could find on everything so I think that offset the additional shipping a bit.

even if it didn't I am still going to tell my wife i did :D

Everyone is so full of it already. You can buy this crap all day everyday there is no shortage will never be no shortage ever. There are more suppliers now than ever before take your freaking pick, it is a good time to quit smoking regular cigarettes and take up vaping. People should stop proliferating the whole it is goin to be hard to get these soon it is complete B.S.

E-smokey provides a 3 month warranty and an extra atomizer and has an excellent reputation unlike Smoke Everywhere that you have recommended before. That is why he charges a little more.

And on what people pay, you stated "you don't think", that is the one accurate comment you made.

On the manual devices being expensive, that is purely subjective. And you forgot to mention that they are well reviewed by all you have bought them as being a better device.

Stop with the negative BS, dum.
