What grit sandpaper do you use to sand the contacts? Also, do you use the 510 adapter all day with zero issues? If so, it might be a broken adapter...let me know Imeo!

I use my adapter for 1 week with exellent results. It works so good that I am ready to forget the 901 atomizers Zai.

Better use eraser first. If you see that you need to sand them then use a 1500 sand paper to be sure that contacts will remain smooth

Personally IMHO I would polish the contacts rather than sanding,if done to high sheen you could find it last longer and no need for cleaning as often

Thats true John. I too prefer to polish them than sanding, I forgot to say this on my previous post. So, erazer-polish-sanding are the moves we have to do. If we dont have the result we want with the first prossedure then we proceed with the second one etc..

imeo the eraser is a good tip I had not thought of that, cheers,

John

It's an old electronic engineering trick for cleaning oxide off edge and chip contacts. Abrasive enough to shift oxide, but not harsh enough to damage the surface which causes pitting and more surface area to oxidise. When you're dealing in miliamps a bit of oxide can really mess things up.

I've used it for 25+ years so I mentioned it on here and people find it effective.
It's handy for the floating contact pin in the atomiser connector, the base of the switch contact where it touches the fuse post and the fuse post itself. You can use it on the tube threads, but of course the eraser gets a bit chewed up but they are very cheap.
