I understand what you are saying about the AVS orings and threads clyde but I think there are some getting a little confused. Your post is clear to me and in no way suggests anything to the contrary but I feel I must post an announcement on this subject. I have seen references where people are saying to use vasoline on the GG.....
Do not apply vasoline to the threads of the GG, ONLY THE AVS PORTION. We suggest vasoline on the AFS portion because you don't want to get noalox in the juice system. Noalox should be used on the GG threads because current must pass across the threads. Using vasoline on the threads of the GG could lead to loss of conductivity. I repeat only use vasoline on the threads and orings on the AVS portion....
